Don't know which way that I am going to go with this one yet.. Have to filter it all out...but early thoughts are this......

Pitt lost to Villanova by 10 @ Nova this year. Nova seems to playing the better ball in this tourney with impressive wins against UCLA and Duke. Pitt has floundered until the final 7 minutes of each game and now favored by 2.. Have they just been a sleeping giant thus far in the tourney? Pitt is a team that knows how to close but I don't think Nova will allow that if they have nice lead late. GUT tells me that PITT plays their best game of the tourney and knocks out NOVA.. JUST A GUT.

The loss earlier in the year is deceiving. Both Blair? and his reserve fouled out early.

Also, it was the last game for Nova at the Spectrum.


I like Nova personally but wanted to let you know that because of foul trouble, that game should be weighed less...

Thanks, I just threw that game out there. I never really look at a game that early in the season. Even my Gophs beat Louisville earlier in the year. I took the Ville - 8 and the Gophs fricken won. Thats what I get for betting against my team. If they play now the Ville by 30:142smilie

PITTSBURGH is 3-1 against the spread versus VILLANOVA over the last 3 seasons.

This is going to be a tough game....really tough but I agree PITT does come out tonight and proves the critics wrong. Nova is 2-3 against the spread over their last five. They pounded two bad teams with great names good for them...PITT rolls :toast:

PITT rolls ??? Are you kidding me? Who has "PITT Rolled" this tournament? Pitt is overrated, plays inconsistently, and can't match the intensity or work ethic of Nova. Dixon has never coached "up" a team and won't today either! Pitt will go down like the dogs they are! Nova by 10!

What i am thinking is that everyone has fallen in love with Nova becuase they have the style points in the tourney. Pitt has come out flat but has grinded them out and won. I look for PITT to come out with their best game of the tourney, but what the hell do I know..

Pitt has looked "very" tired over this tourney. I would not be surprised if they fade fast tonight.

I have liked this Nova team all year, but I still don't trust them in a close game. I think Pitt jumps on them and holds them off

forget the side and play the under..pitt has to play in slow motion to have any chance and ville's def is playing great..only a blowout takes it close to the over..:0corn

I don't trust Pitt in a close game. Fields throwing up 3's is asking for a prayer or luck.

Pitt rolls is ridiculous. They don't roll anybody as that is not their style.
On the other side, I am not sure what Nova did to UCLA and Duke translates to same thing vs Pitt. Pitt will be the more physical than Nova which was not the case last 2 Nova games.

I am pulling hairs with this one. Light play on the hotter team:

Villanova(+2.5) for 110 win 100.

Also playing UNDER 141 for 110 win 100.-- This number is too high.
