And there's not a lot of crowd noise?

Economy? Price of tickets? No interest anymore?

I'm sure that is a big part of it.... Detroit is hurting, so it slows down local interest and attendance....

I think the other part of it - having been to the Final Four in Indy in 2000 - is the crap environment it is to watch a basketball game in, with them playing in a football stadium....

In 2000, in the RCA dome - I had great seats - like 25 row from the floor, free throw line extended... it felt like we were in the upper deck at an NBA game.... the NCAA is so concerned with selling as many tickets as they can, but it is not a great experience for those that are there - you are just too far away to enjoy a basketball game.....

I'll never go to a basketball game again in a football stadium - it's just not the same - you are MUCH better seeing it on TV....

You never see the NBA playing playoff games in a football stadium - and I'm sure they could fill it up for the NBA finals.

It would be nice if the NCAA would keep the games in actual basketball stadiums - THEN the experience would be much better - albeit with much higher ticket prices on the secondary market - but at least you'd get a good experience for the price.....

I've heard others on MJ's talk about this very issue - you don't feel like you are part of the game in a football stadium....
