Next week on Tax Day (April 15), right wing activists will converge in cities across the country to protest President Obama. The primary figures organizing the protests, the lobbyist-run think tank Freedom Works and bloggers such as Michelle Malkin, say they are reacting to taxes that are ?too high.? However, previous tea party protests have attracted protesters who called for impeaching Obama while slurring the President?s name as ?Obama Bin Lyin.?

The events are also being embraced by a smorgasbord of far-right causes. Gun rights militias, secessionists, and neo-Nazi groups are currently working to contribute to the organizing effort.

Little did they know that the expression "Tea bagging" is a term used to describe a sexual act.

Republicans didn't think this thing through, like when they wanted to call the invasion of Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom, until they found out that it meant O.I.L.

I love how sensitive the right is when they get shit thrown right back in there worthless faces.

My comment had nothing to do with right or left. It is a simple matter of decency which is clearly above your pay grade.

You come off as an individual of poor character.

Won't only be the tax payors revolting--when the freeloaders find out they're being hit too.

The Tax Capital of the World

Oh, and it isn't just high earners who get smacked. The new budget raises another $2 billion or so on top of the $4 billion in income taxes with some 100 new taxes, fees, fines, surcharges and penalties to be paid by all New York residents. There are new charges for cell phone usage, fishing permits, health insurance (the "sick tax"), electric bills, and on bottled water, cigars, beer and wine. A New York Post analysis found that a typical family of four with an income below $100,000 would pay more than $800 a year in higher taxes and fees.
This is advertised as a plan of "shared sacrifice," but the group that is most responsible for New York's budget woes, the all-powerful public employee unions, somehow walk out of this with a 3% pay increase. The state is receiving an estimated $10 billion in federal stimulus money, and Democrats are spending every cent while raising the state budget by 9%. Then they insist with a straight face that taxes are the only way to close the budget deficit.

---and not just New York

Like the old competition to have the world's tallest building, New York can't resist having the nation's highest taxes. So after California raised its top income tax rate to 10.55% last month, Albany's politicians leapt into action to reclaim high-tax honors. Maybe C-Span can make this tax competition a new reality TV series; Carla Bruni, the first lady of France, could host.

They can invite politicians from the at least 10 other states that are also considering major tax hikes, including Oregon, Illinois, Wisconsin, Washington, Arizona and New Jersey. One explicit argument for the $787 billion "stimulus" bill was to help states avoid these tax increases that even Keynesians understand are contractionary. Instead, the state politicians are pocketing the federal cash to maintain spending, and raising taxes anyway. Just another spend-and-tax bait and switch.

Hmm Wonder what these states all have in common---pretty obvious--now we got someone wanting to take it to a national level--

Results--

The Congressional Budget Office estimated last month that President Barack Obama's budget proposals would produce $9.3 trillion in deficits over the next decade, a figure $2.3 trillion higher than estimates made in February in the administration's first budget proposal. The CBO review projected Obama's budget would generate deficits averaging almost $1 trillion annually over the decade ending in 2019.

If you think you see tax revolts and hard times now--just wait until the inevitable inflation and increased interest rates kick in--

Many states by law have to balance ther budgets or be very close. With fewer funds coming from Fed,s last couple years. And with economy in a huge hole. Some one needs to step up. I guess it,s us. We will get rewarded in heavan.

Im not sure what all the pitcures in this thread have to do with supject matter taxes. And these folks gone on marches about there taxes should be sure they pay taxes. And some should wait to see if there getting a reduction. And the rest should know nothing is free. I know Bush tried to make it seem possiable.
DTB that phone bill looked the same when Bush was in office. I believe your home bill has some of the same. In fact it,s been going on for years. And it,s just not a Dem thing.
