Updated Record: 33-27 for +22.55 units
One play today:
Kansas State +100 (@ Wichita State) for 3 units ? Kansas State won 13-5 last night in Manhattan and goes for the mid-week sweep tonight. This is very similar to the play I had on Oklahoma last week at Wichita State. Kansas St. has a huge advantage offensively and should be able to post another big # tonight. The Wildcats are hitting .322 as a team and scoring almost 8 runs a game, whereas the Shockers are hitting .288 and scoring less than 6 per game over the course of this season. When you consider the strength of schedule for the two clubs, the gap in offensive ability is even wider. As with most mid-week games, starting pitching for either team isn?t great. Kansas State sends Junior Ryan Daniel to the mound. Daniel has a 3.41 ERA; 1.52 WHIP; .302 opponents avg. and 24 K?s in 31 2/3 IP. Daniel started the season as a weekend starter but was demoted to mid-week starter after some sketchy performances. He?s performed better his last couple of outings though. Wichita State starts Freshman Brian Flynn. Flynn has a 6.67 ERA; 1.48 WHIP; .261 opponents avg. and 35 K?s in 28 1/3 IP. Flynn has been hammered by some Big XII clubs this year in mid-week games and tonight should be more of that honestly. As both starters are prone to getting into trouble, it is likely the bullpens could play a large role in the contest and Kansas State has a decent edge there as well. Kansas State is playing really well currently and is ranked this week for the first time ever. I like them to keep up the momentum and take another from a pretty weak Wichita State club.
GL guys.
