FROM Courtside right now:
The Orlando Magic will play host to the Philadelphia 76ers in what should be an interesting Game 2 matchup.
After dropping an 18-point lead on Sunday, Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy questioned his teams effort in all aspects of the game, look for a response from the Magic tonight.
Here are some pre-game notes:
- 76ers Head Coach Tony DiLeo said his club's demeanor really hasn't changed, saying this team for whatever reason seems to go into every game kind of the same way, feeling like they can win. DiLeo said he expects the atmosphere to play against his team and said he expects Orlando to try and grab momentum early.
- The Magic have had a few days of "spirited" practice, one Magic players smiled saying the morning practice actually had a small fight break out, which was the first of the season. The player said the mentality going into tonight's game was "dialed in and dialed up"
- 76ers coach Tony DiLeo said it was deliberate that Rafer Alston and Courtney Lee had more shot attempts than normal in Game 1 saying it was a deliberate defensive scheme to stay home on Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu. When asked if he was "testing" Courtney Lee's range in the 2nd quarter Sunday, DiLeo said absolutely not, that there were several defensive breakdowns, breakdowns he hoped his team has adjusted for in Game 2.
- Magic Rookie Courtney Lee was asked about what changes to expect tonight his reply was curt ? "Not give up an 18-point lead?"
