NBA PLAYOFF RECORD: 27 - 13 - 1

BIG NITE TONIGHT IN THE NBA. BIG NITE FOR THE WALLET TOO.......

CELTICS + 3.0 (10 UNIT PLAY)
ORLANDO +4.0 (10 UNIT PLAY)
HOUSTON -5.0 (15 UNIT PLAY)

I'M ACTUALLY GOING AGAINST MY OWN NUMBERS ON THE HOUSTON GAME. MY NUMBERS PENCIL THE GAME OUT TO THE GAME BEING EVEN. WHAT NUMBERS DON'T CONSIDER THOUGH IS THE EMOTION AND ADRENALINE ASSOCIATED WITH TONIGHTS GAME. HOUSTON KNOWS THAT THIS IS GAME 7 FOR THEM. THEY HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS TONIGHT, OR THEY GO BACK TO PORTLAND FOR THE FINAL........THEY KNOW THEY CAN'T DO THAT. THE CROWD WILL BE PUMPED, THE PLAYERS WILL BE PUMPED. HOUSTON TAKES THE GAME BY DOUBLE DIGITS.

GOOD LUCK AND LET'S CASH SOME MORE :mj06:

CHA CHING....CHA CHING....DON'T YA JUST LOVE MONEY ????: :spotting:

orlando? yuch

gortat and redick for howard and lee

uggg

philly has looked fairly decent in this series esp at home and now orl has to replace 35 ppg tonight with guys who dont score and replace them as role players with guys who dont play.

i think philly wacks orl and we head to game 7

ABSOLUTELY I AM. THIS IS A 9 POINT DIFFERENCE IN THE LINE BETWEEN THIS GAME AND THE LAST GAME IN PHILLY. THERE'S A GAZILLION PEOPLE THAT ARE THINKING JUST LIKE GJN23 IN THAT ORLANDO DOESN'T STAND A CHANCE. THE REALITY IS THAT ORLANDO HAS A CHANCE TO WIN THE SERIES TONIGHT AND THEY ARE GONNA FIGHT FOR IT TOOTH AND NAIL. GOOD TEAMS STEP UP WHEN THEY LOSE SOMEONE AND THAT WILL BE THE CASE TONIGHT AS WELL. I'M NOT SAYING THAT THEY WIN, BUT I THINK THAT THEY KEEP IT CLOSE WITH A BALL CONTROL OFFENSE AND PRESSURE DEFENSE.

I love pick # 1 and need Pick # 3 ML for a big score myself - We are on the same page.

Pick #2 - is a no play for me - reason is that Orlando is a jump shooting team and with no Howard tonight that's how they will score to win. So, basically the bet is will they or will they not shoot the ball well tonight?? You pick that - you pick the winner. I can't decide on the coin flip...AK vx JJ here

in theory that sounds good for GOOD teams missing ONE player......but they are missing their best defensive player and their best penetrating offensive player.

on offense they wont have a post presence and they wont be taking the ball to the hoop...they'll be taking a LOT of outside jumpers (on the road) redick, hedu, lewis and missing their main rebounder

on defense they wont have their anchor in the middle to cover for their weak perimeter defense....philly should be attacking the rim at will all night long and when orlando starts to double or collapse off those penetration, philly should get tons of wide open looks outside.

i've been riding your train for a while but totally disagrees with your miami pick yest and feel even stronger about this pick today as i see the will to win the series being put off until sat for orlando when they know their at home and get howard back.

then again, it's the nba......philly could do everything i say, lead by 20 the whole game and get outscored by 25 in the 4th to lose outright

I agree with your Orlando reasoning 100%.The other players will play out of their minds compensating for Howard and Lee,and another thing, the last game was the first cover for Orlando for the series,(game two being 9- at opening and a 9 point win for orlando.)They are way overdue to play better than peoples expectations,ie beat the spread.GL Teemo,I really think you gave great reasons for that game thanks for sharing them

Tee,
you got +4 in your thread, yet I see +5.5 to +6 out there. Has it moved that much since your post?

YEP. MY LOCAL HAS GONE FROM 4 TO 6 SINCE THIS MORNING.GLAD THAT I DIDN'T MAKE THE PLAY YET. I STILL LIKE THE PLAY, BUT WILL GLADLY TAKE THE EXTRA TWO POINTS. IT IS A LITTLE CONCERNING WITH THAT MUCH BEING THROWN DOWN ON PHILLY.......BUT GOING BACK TO WHAT I SAID EARLIER, IT'S NOT SURPRISING. I'M GOING TO STAY WITH MY ORIGINAL PLAY. ORLANDO ALREADY HAS ONE WIN ON THE ROAD IN THIS SERIES AND THE OTHER A TWO POINT LOSS. I REALLY THINK THAT THE MAGIC PLAYERS RALLY TONIGHT. BUT AS WE ALL KNOW AND HAVE SAID......THIS IS THE NBA AND ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

I like the Boston and Houston picks but I have the same feeling I had yesterday when I flipped to the Hawks.

Orlando is going to keep in close for 3 quarters and then give out of gas - kind of like what we saw from the Hornets last night.

I might even sit the middle game out but I am all over the night cap.

Ha, I guess "such ease" may have been a poor choice of words for that Boston game, but bottomline is he consistently puts winners out there in what I have found to be the hardest sport to bet over the years.
