Yes, they have casinos in the state - Indian run and owned. As I mentioned in the other thread, I think that money runs deeply in some political pockets, and could be a big part of this - although I don't know specifically about the legislative influence or ties to it.
I found it interesting that I heard about the legalization of medical marijuana and this effort at the same time... definitely a different kind of state here, fo sho'.
