Updated Record: 44-33 for +36.4 units
One play today:
Louisville -120 (vs. Ohio St.) for 3 units ? These two teams are pretty even offensively, though I would give a slight edge to Ville. Regarding pitching, the edge for a mid-week game is very heavy towards Louisville. Even though starters haven?t been named for either squad, considering the likely candidates to start and the bullpen, Louisville bests Ohio State in both areas. Outside of Ohio State?s ace Alex Wimmers (who threw a no-hitter this past weekend) and their closer Jake Hale, their pitching is a weak link of their team. The team?s ERA excluding those two is 6.49 and opponents have hit .309 off of them. Since beginning conference play, the Buckeye?s are 3-3 in mid-week contests and that is mostly against average to bad competition. I believe the weak record in those games against meager competition speaks to the issue with their pitching. Louisville is much better than any of those squads that they faced. Now OSU did throw Wimmers in a mid-week game earlier this season (vs. Miami), however that was still on 5 days of rest. He threw 133 pitches in that no-hitter on Saturday so he won?t be seen in tonight?s game.
Was tempted with Elon +240 as they have a pretty explosive offense (averaging over 10 runs a game and 2 HR's/game). However UNC is fully rested not playing this past weekend, so I'm steering clear of that one.
GL guys.
