no shit--after quadrupling the debt in 100 days and raising welfare subsidies ($20 Billion on food stamps alone) he comes up with this today.

May 14 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama, calling current deficit spending ?unsustainable,? warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the U.S. continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries.
?We can?t keep on just borrowing from China,? Obama said at a town-hall meeting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, outside Albuquerque. ?We have to pay interest on that debt, and that means we are mortgaging our children?s future with more and more debt.?

the audacity of hype--

--and after loading the welfare wagon for Da base--guess who he's coming after---as was easily predicted--the responsible--SSN and Medicare

When asked how he could quaduple debt in 100 days and then complain about debt--and raise welfare programs while cutting programs responsible people paid for he said--

He gave em this expression--

"quaduple debt in 100 days"

you still do not understand the difference between debt and deficit. This appears to be a very challenging concept for you DTB.

What was the national DEBT when OBama took office?

What is the DEBT now?

I CAN'T FIGURE THIS SHIT OUT. bush/cheney had us going in the right direction, we were safe, except for 911, all Obama had to do was stay the course. I still can't figure out what the hell he's trying to fix.... America was just fine, before he got elected... Why the hell did they elect this guy anyways ? Give me back my guns.... Why the fuck do these people need food stamps, they can't hunt ???? The extremist on the right were taking care of business. I just don't know...

If those fucking liberals at the NY TIMES didn't concoct some shit about saddam & iraq, the bush/cheney years would have been billion times better.. Judy Miller and that gang made bush/cheney/rummy/rice/scooter/ make mistake after mistake.. It wasn't their fault they were not right about one thing in Iraq or anything else.... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=bush/cheney+weren't+right+about+iraq+or+anything+else......We have just lived 8 yrs of bliss. Gov and the private sector were perfect.. Leadership in both areas was impeccable.. If not impeachable...... What more could we want ? We had bush/cheney on the right & pelosi did her best to go along on the left. It was a grand bipartisan effort...... Obama is trying to fuck everthing up. The only thing to do now is impeach this clown. They should have known, this nigger couldn't run a country.... Not the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...... bush was the greatest president of all time...if you don't include carter & 911 didn't happen..... just ask cheney....did I mention they kept us safe ??? there should have been some kind of special amendment to give those guys 8 more yrs, then we wouldn't be in this mess. RIGHT DTB ??

Jabberwockey, you wanted to know the deficit?
President Bush expanded the federal budget by a historic $700 billion through 2008. President Obama would add another $1 trillion.
President Bush began a string of expensive finan*cial bailouts. President Obama is accelerating that course.
President Bush created a Medicare drug entitle*ment that will cost an estimated $800 billion in its first decade. President Obama has proposed a $634 billion down payment on a new govern*ment health care fund.
President Bush increased federal education spending 58 percent faster than inflation. Presi*dent Obama would double it.
President Bush became the first President to spend 3 percent of GDP on federal antipoverty programs. President Obama has already in*creased this spending by 20 percent.
President Bush tilted the income tax burden more toward upper-income taxpayers. President Obama would continue that trend.

President Bush presided over a $2.5 trillion increase in the public debt through 2008. Setting aside 2009 (for which Presidents Bush and Obama share responsibility for an additional $2.6 trillion in public debt), President Obama?s budget would add $4.9 trillion in public debt from the beginning of 2010 through 2016.
He has spent more than 43 Presidents combined in total spending in 100 days......you don't conquer debt by spending...you conquer it by changing your responsibilities....there's your "CHANGE"

Biggest diff I see between deficit and debt is with deficit you haven't tacked the interest on yet--so take the trillions in deficit he's added and add the interest on and you'll get the debt he's added.

So the debt he's added would be much more if you included intererst.
==============================

Obama deficit spending interest - another $4.5 trillion

A hidden cost of President Obama's big government spending orgy is the interest that will have to be paid on all the money that must be borrowed so Obama can expand the size and role of government.

William W. Beach says the Obama deficits in this year's proposed budget will cost an additional $1.6 trillion on the national debt over 10 years. If we go back to the second analogy, that represents 50,701 years.
That's just what Obama added to this year's deficit for the so-called stimulus and other programs.
According to North Carolina Republican Senator, Richard Burr, the interest on the Obama deficit for spending in coming years is a whopping $4 trillion over the next 10 years - more than $1 billion in interest payments every day. Again using the second analogy, that represents 126,752 years.
In the following video, Jim Angle reports Senator Burr's $4 trillion figure is conservative. Obama's budget overview estimates that even if the Democrat-controlled Congress provide all of the tax increases Obama wants, the Obama deficit will cost $4.5 trillion over 10 years - equivalent to 142,596 years.

So you're only tracking interest on this year's deficit, not the inherited debt?
