Damn these games are getting hard to get a read on. As I watched Game 1 - I was personally shocked that Denver looked like the better team in almost every aspect of the game. LA looked slightly disinterested until the end as usual. I would like to take Denver +6 (hook or wait for LA $ to jack it up) but my concern is betting against the Zen master making great adjustments and LA coming out really jacked up with something to prove after the Game 1 lame showing. Any word on Kobe's finger issue?

Yep - but any word on the severity of Kobe's dislocated ring finger - and is it on his shooting hand?

Found that it is his shooting hand - but no idea how bad it is.

Nobody was expecting this series to be a sweep and Game 1 was NOT a must win game ... no matter what Phil Jackson's record is when his teams win the first game.

You can have all the historical crap you want to ... Denver is not going to go away or shy away from this soft Lakers team. I saw all I needed to see last night to know that Denver will continue to have success throughout this series.

The Lakers were the ones who ended up stealing Game 1 from Denver.

The Nuggets must now look back on the one that got away and adjust in time for Thursday's Game 2.

You are much better off letting some go
It'll make you stronger and make you want to find that winning combination that much more.

Game 1 Zebras'

One thing in LAs favor is that they had trouble with that same officiating crew all season.

That crew takes an ?NBA East? view of the Lakers, in that if their opponent has a ?physical? reputation, then they are allowed to be physical with the Lakers. But the Lakers have a ?finesse? reputation, so they aren?t allowed to play the same way.

That crew was the same one for Game 1 of the Houston-LA series, which was a Laker loss amid a large FT discrepancy in HOU?s favor. That?s why the Nuggets had a 29-11 FT advantage until there were 6 1/2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. At that point, there had not been one foul called on a Denver strip attempt for the entire game, and not one called on DEN on a rebound (but several on LA). However, everyone knows that if the home team goes to the hole in the 4th quarter, they will get the calls if they?re fouled (and sometimes if they?re not), so the Lakers, especially Kobe, went to the rack. That?s why DEN was so upset in the 4th, because the fouls they got away with for 3 1/2 quarters got called in the final six minutes (Carter, Nene).

Not sure where everyone is today. I think Denver ML has great value, especially after watching that fist game. What are your thoughts on the total? I'm leaning toward the over.

I HEARD FROM SOMEWHERE THAT KOBE SAID THAT THE TEAM IS TIRED AFTER THE LAST GAME. NOT TO SURE IF IT WAS A MIND TRICK. THEY COULD BE TIRED BECAUSE DENVER WAS WELL RESTED AND KEPT RUNNING AND PLAYED AT A FAST PACE. IMO IF ITS TRUE, I THINK IT WILL BE AN UNDER GAME WITH THE BRICKS THAT THE LAKERS WILL BE THROWING. ALSO DENVER HAS A PRETTY GOOD DEFENSE. I'M LOOKING AT DENVER +5- AND UNDER 211. HOPE THE O/U GOES UP. WHAT YOU GUYS THINK?
WHAT EVER YOU GUYS DO BOL:mj06:

Here is my 2 cents...

Denver played a GREAT game for 43 minutes. We see that a lot from them. Melo played as well as he could and THEY LOST...

Kobe ball hogged for 4 quarters, but he is the best closer in the game and went 4-5 FG and 9-9 FT in the 4th quarter when it counted to win the game.

It will take 48:01 GREAT minutes of basketball from Denver to beat the Lakers in LA. They MAYBE get a win with there performance in game 1 if its played in Denver. MAYBE but I doubt it.

I know Denver has played well these playoffs but the run ends here. They fall in 5 games, if they are motivated in both games at home then it will go 6.

Denver doesn't play 48 minutes EVER, even in there blowouts there are lapses, and with injuries to KMart and Smiths knee I would say game 2 is not going to be a win for Denver.

Lakers win and cover tonight! Like Houston matching up well and competing with the Lakers Denver DOES NOT match up well and the Lakers just seem to own them.

BOL fellas

The Lakers are one of the most inconsistent teams in the NBA ATS!!

This team is too difficult to predict on which team will show up on any given night!

Agree on the inconsitancy of the Lakers, and Game one reminded my of the Dallas game that got away, Denver came back and won the next game. I am not a master handicaper but I cannot see what everyone sees in the Lakers.....Like the under also believe the temp of the game will be just like the first game, Believe coby will not make as many shots neither will Melo, Denver bench was outscored 1H of last game and that will not happen tonight Denver Bench keeps the cover but I am getting the 6.5 for insurance....
