All right I got 3 or 4 shows I live by and one is done even though it had excellent ratings which makes no sense.

NBC has canceled MY NAME IS EARL!

Not really sure why???

Love Entourage,Weeds,Dexter, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. At least they are back for next season.
Weeds starts in early June again.

one of my favorite shows is Weeds...As long as they do not cancel Desperate Housewives, Ax Men Deadliest Catch and Survivor I will be okay, lol...

I liked Earl as well, oh well.

I hate when good shows get the ax, but hey they all can't survive. Worse when you are into a show with a "cliffhanger" and then it gets the boot. Still pissed at NBC for getting rid of this show:

(and remember....Full House was on the air for almost 10 years)

Although the worst, the absolute worst, was when Fox axed Family Guy, the funniest show ever on TV.

Thankfully they brought it back.....phew:eek:

Yeah I got into Journeyman as well.
Some other shows I got into similar to it that got whacked with no closure were:

My Own Worst Enemy with Christian Slater. It was ok but not great. No closure though.

Daybreak with Taye Diggs where he was living the same day over again like Action version of Groundhog Day was solid as well with little closure.

Yeah it does suck when you get into a show and then bammo it is gone (need closure)

Journeyman was a great show, oh well:sadwave:

Prison Break got the ax (great show) but they showed a series finale, that's the way it should be:SIB

Oh and by the way, My Own Worst Enemy
was :mj02:

If Family Guy can get canceled then any show can.

NBC let ER run about 6 seasons too long and now they are getting more and more into reality shows as well.

Some shows I am looking forward to seeing but probably will get canceled on me as well are :

The Listener starts in 2 weeks on NBC. New starting summer shows never make it.

ABC is cranking up the "V" series again next fall.

Also the Joesph Fiennes show Flash Forward might be good next fall.

I may shed a tear when Entourage gets killed but I think they are on for at least two more seasons.

My own worst enemy wasn't great at all but I stuck with it and got zero closure. First year shows should forced to always have a closure fallback episode to be shot.

I thought Journeyman might have gotten picked up by Sci-Fi channel or something.
No luck.

Networks pound you with overkill hype then the shows flame out.
My own worst enemy

Remember "THE NINE" on ABC. God lord they hyped that thing like crazy or "INVASION" also ABC also OVERHYPED.

I never gave LIFE ON MARS a chance because of the overhype theory. Still don't know if I should go back and watch season 1 until I hear of a season 2.

Oh and another show I got into and it was whacked with ZERO CLOSURE was a summer show called "TRAVELER" on ABC. About 10 episodes and then we are not going to show it anymore.Thanks.

TRAVELER was a great show.... Wife and I were pissed when it went off air. A lot of times those shows get picked by some one-off cable channel... but not that show :sadwave:

sports, Survivor and Desperate Housewives, are the only 3 things I watch on local tv I hate commercials

I record everything I watch except sports so I can skip commercials, HBO and Showtime have great shows with no commercials though in fact I record 21 shows right now, lmao...I get bored easily

kegray Life on Mars is cancelled after season one. the american version

opened to good numbers but could not hold onto them. only saw the last two show of the series.
was a fan and thought the british Life on Mars was brilliant, not every episode however most were great.

hard to copy the orginal, which ran for 13 shows, have not seen the follow up ashes to ashes.

thanks

ABC is by far the worst network when it comes to dangling out a new show and pounding the advertisement then pulling it.
TRAVELER
INVASION
THE NINE
LIFE ON MARS
I even remember them hyping BINGO last year and I think it was only on like 2 weeks.
All except Traveler had hype and all were pulled with no closure. I am probably even missing a few.

You had to know Parks and Recreation would get a 2nd year with Amy Pollar coming from SNL.
And yes I tried to watch that show and gave up very early(middle of 2nd episode).
Looking forward to the Listener a week from Thursday, but summer shows are tough.:mj09:
