I grew up in New Jersey thinking Americans were the smartest people on the planet and everybody in the world wanted to come to America because we had the best of everything.
When i was young i broke my ankle playing football. That night my mother took me to the doctor (not a hospital, in Westfield NJ) who took x-rays and put a cask on. This was about 7 or 8 pm. My parents paid out of pocket. Can you guess what treatment like that would cost now.
I have nothing against making a profit, but things like charging 20x the price for drinking water during the New Orleans floods i have a problem with.
People of the United States are being robbed of their wealth and nobody's doing anything about it.
The government will never be out of debt because of the federal reserve (private bank). Why does the Gov. print the money, sells the notes (@ 4 cents for $100.00 note) to the fed, the fed then loans it back to the Gov. @ face value plus interest, how stupid is that?
How about fractional lending, how banks loan out money they don't have on deposit. Banks are allowed to loan out 9x more than they have on deposit, how? This is a long story, check this:

Anyway about healthcare, in the US a MRI cost about $1500.00, in Japan it costs $100.00, why?

Greed is running wild and the gov is paid off to look the other way. There are 535 members of congress and they are out numbered by the lobbyists 7 to 1, paid to keep things as they are. What chance does the average American have for votes to go his way when a lobbyist shows up with a bag of money?
There's a hospital in Bangkok, Bumrangrad, where you can get great care and cheap. The best is the hospital has a price list, try and find that at a US hospital. How many of us would go food shopping or car shopping without the price being listed, but we use hospitals like this all the time, without knowing the cost.
Hip replacement in the US costs about $60,000-$65,000, @ Bumrangrad it cost's $16,000.
MRI, US $1,500, Bumrangrad $290.00
Private room Bumrangrad $87.20-$174.41 a day.
These people @ Bumrangrad also provide care for profit.

Americans are fleeing to Mexico for healthcare. Soon you will see them going to Cuba when it opens up.
