First let me say I'm huge Giants fan and I watched the Game. I was pulling for Randy Johnson to get win #300.

But not this way.

The last pitch to Adam Dunn was clearly below the knees and should have been ball four forcing in a run and the score tied 2-2. Dunn was halfway to first when he heard it called a strike.

He couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe it.

Tim Timmons gave Randy that win but it's history now.

Congrats on win #300 Randy. :toast:

Yea its pretty sad, he did deserve the w though...6 ip 2 hits, but that was kind of cheap. And randy is a strait asshole so I don't know why the ump did that.
I'm really only mad cause I had the nats lol.

Maybe he missed the call. I don't have a problem with it. Close pitch and Dunn should be protecting the plate.

It's a bad call, but nothing to blow out of proportion about. I've seen much worse. It's definately a pitch that can be missed, and is borderline. Why the hell Dunn isn't protecting with 2 strikes, and 2 outs is beyond me.

That pitch could have gone either way. Should have been protecting for sure.
It's not like it was off the plate or anything it was at the bottom of the zone but after watching it a few times the catcher doesn't move his glove and keeps it right there. Strike 3!

Definitely too close to take. If it was low it wasn't by much. Nothing like Eric Gregg's zone for Livan in the WS back in the day.

yes - very close - based on Dunn's body built that was a low pitch...gotta be swinging there to drive in the run...to me he was looking for the walk.

That's extremely close. Call could go either way. You cannot take that pitch. I have no problems w/ it!!
