Cardinals stack righthanded bats for Cy Young lefty Cliff Lee

CLEVELAND ? For tonight?s late start ? 8 p.m. local time at Progressive Field ? the St. Louis Cardinals are packing the middle of the order with righthanded hitters to oppose Cleveland?s Cliff Lee, the reigning Cy Young Award winner in the other league and ? a lefty.

The clumping of righthanded bats in the heart of the lineup means Nick Stavinoha?s debut as the designated hitter this season and a return to the cleanup role for Ryan Ludwick.

Righthanded hitters are batting .322 against Lee this season and slugging .420, vs. .252 and .327 for lefthanded-hitting opponents against Cleveland?s ace.
... here is the lineup for a duel of former Cy Young winners and Sunday Night Baseball (cue music).

CARDINALS

1. Brendan Ryan, SS
2. Rick Ankiel, LF
3. Albert Pujols, 1B
4. Ryan Ludwick, RF
5. Nick Stavinoha, DH
6. Yadier Molina, C
7. Colby Rasmus, CF
8. Tyler Greene, 3B
