of course you do...it`s nothing more than a useless platitude...

explain it...lol

what is absolutely the truth is that what`s happening in iran is case in point why a society never surrenders the right to bear arms.....

no need to explain that...it`s there in all the video flooding out of iran...

Um, no. Those were not platitudes. They were opinions. Opinions that will almost certainly turn out to be true.

An example of a platitude is 'we will democratize the entire middle east and everybody will live happily ever after and even if we're wrong at least we'll have at least a hundred thousand less Iraqi and Afghan civilians to worry about.'

you are not smart enough to know how much you don't understand... you stick your chest out, pay lip service to the right to bear arms.... I, unlike you, not only live and breath it but truly believe in it...... you line up behind a foreign government going iinto a country, going house to house and taking the guns away from the people with military force... explain that... believing what you say you believe... how do you explain IRAQ ??? Americas invasion of Iraq, is one of the most Anti American acts , in the history of this Great Country..... go back to sleep ! It takes all kinds... your kind doesn't further the cause and the America we should be..... Guys like you hold us back...... Guys like me can carry the load....

the people in iraq are now free....more free than they`ve been in decades...they can vote and their vote actually means something...

the minorirty sunni`s no longer run roughshod over the majority......the dictator and his murderous thug sons are dead...no more genocide and mass graves......people share in oil revenue....

and this is a bad thing in a progressive`s mind?...

saddam ignored around 25 u.n. resolutions....prcticed genocide...kicked out inspectors...invaded his neighbors...tried to build nuclear weapons until israel bombed their rector out of exictence...

and the democrats voted to authorizre the use of force to remove saddam...should i bring up the video of democrats excoriating saddam and saying how dangerous he was and should be removed?...didn`t bill clinton pen a resolution on regime change in iraq?...

whatta ya` think,einstein?....,

""the people of iran will own their freedom someday""...supposition...wishful thinking.

""the people of iraq have yet to pay the price for American intervention""........the people of iraq have freedom to assemble...to vote...to share in national oil revenue...aren`t ruled by an authoratative theocrat or dictator...in real time...that means,"like now,dude"...

FACT!(thanks to america)

stop thinking like a cuban or a venezuelan and start thinking like an american...

So you'd rather see a bloodbath -- hundreds of thousands of armed demonstrators clashing with hundreds of thousands of armed Basiji militia.

Alrighty then...

was the american revolution a bloodbath?....you think freedom comes without a hefty pricetag?...

i know you wouldn`t be willing to do what these iranian students are doing...this generation is so soft...everything`s been given to them....

appreciate your country... appreciate what the iranians are trying to accomplish....and appreciate what your forefathers had to suffer through to provide you with the finest standard of living in the world..

understand that murderous theocrats and dictators don`t just roll over because some students throw rocks...

it takes blood,sweat and tears...

THERE WAS NO AMERICA IN THAT EQUATION :
the 13 colonies overthrew the government of great britain... we were not invaded by a foreign government to forge our democracy.... this talk about democracy in iraq is a joke. .... america controls iraq, not the people of iraq.. how do you think that makes the people of iraq feel ?? how do you think the people of iraq view themselves, and how are they viewed by others in the region ? america could have taken out sadam, without going house to house in THEIR COUNTRY AND TAKING THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS AWAY FROM THE PEOPLE BY FORCE... THE WEASEL DOSN'T UNDERSTAND FREEDOM... He understsnds freedom from his point of view... HE UNDERSTANDS FREEDOM FROM AN ELITIST RIGHT WING/LEFT WING POINT OF VIEW.... FROM A INSIDE THE BELTWAY DEMOCRAT & REPUBLICAN /ANTI AMERICAN POINT OF VIEW.... THERE IS NO REVOLUTION IN IRAQ ! THERE IS NO REVOLUTION IN IRAQ !!!! THAT'S WHAT I MEAN...... DO YOU GET IT; WEASEL ??? THERE COULD BE A REVOLUTION IN IRAN.. DO YOU KNOW WHAT A REVOLUTION IS ????? what's happening in Iraq is imperialism... would you call your self free if : you were a citizen of Iraq ? would you WEASEL ???? You don't even come close to thinking like a free man... Certainly not an American ... What's wrong with you ? Your everything you hate about your perceived opposition... Your one of them.... Maybe you should go jerk off in that dorm room !` when you clear your head, have someone that has lived under imperialism teach you the 101's of freedom !`

maybe you can but I can't compare japan & germany to iraq.. you don't get it ! I can smell the wood burning...nothing but smoke.... there is nothing wrong with the way most of the cuban & venezuelan people think... they would be as surprised to find there are americans that think they are free and think like you; as you would be of them if you new anything about the people of cuba and venezuela... they have the same problem we have... it's not the people, it's their governments/leadership....

I was just reading about Panama from the post Judge just made. It seems like a great place to live, I wonder if people thought that before we took out Noriega?

This is Neda Soltani, the 26 year old Iranian woman gunned down by the
Basiji militia on Saturday. The Iranian movement now has a face.

Do I detect a chink in the neoconservative armor? Is Madjack's biggest chickenhawk suddenly concerned with human rights around the world? Maybe there's hope for you yet Weezil. ;)

The world gets sadder eachday. A young women like Neda gets murdered in cold blood because she wants a better life for herself and family, she wants her voice to count.

Well hope people in the world wake up. This just makes me sick and rips at my soul.

Life is cheap to many and abused by most:(

For the life of me I cannot see how these terrible events have anything to do with our internal politics. I side with the protesters. But this is their fight, not ours. And I hope and pray that they win. That is the only way they will have a lasting solution.

it`s a confluence of circumstances...the people of iran tiring of the smothering rule of the mullahs and achmadinejhad.....tired of living like slaves... ..a potentially stolen election...

and looking across the border at iraq...no longer under the yoke of their brutal dicataor and the minority sunnis...sharing in oil revenues....holding their ink stained fingers in the air after an election that actually meant something....

Brutal dictator? The guy that the US made? The guy the US supported during the Iraq/Iran war, that killed many Iranians. Iraq who has had close to a million of it's people killed because the US invasion. Resulting in 2.7 million Iraqi refugees.

Iranians use to have a democracy until the US over thrown it. Because Iran wanted to keep their oil and the US wanted it.

No matter who becomes the President of Iran, they would be doing a disservice to their country if they do not try to get nukes. Because without nuclear weapons the country is open to invasion and destruction just like Iraq.

The Iranian votes went the way of the 2000 Florida votes. The SC stopped the recount just like the high rulers did in Iran. The difference is the American people did not get mad and did what they were told.
