Quarterback
Brett Favre - He'll sign with the Minnesota Vikings once he feels his arm is back to normal.
Michael Vick - Still suspended and very questionable that he'll play this season, even if he gets reinstated.
J.P. Losman - Mistake prone, but talented signal caller. Should find a home by early August.
Gus Frerotte - Decent backup option.
Brian Griese - The journeyman signal caller was released by the Buccaneers recently.
Cleo Lemon - Recently cut by the Jaguars and probably is a marginal No. 2 QB at this point.
Quinn Gray - Tried out for the UFL recently.
Drew Henson - Fits in as a third quarterback.
Brad Johnson - Failed miserably as Dallas' backup last season.
Brooks Bollinger - He was recently selected in the UFL draft.
Marques Tuiasosopo - Probably more of a No. 3 QB these days.
Jamie Martin - His agent, Tom Mills, said Martin still wants to play.

Running Back
Edgerrin James - Fits in as a solid second back and can also handle a third-down role.
Warrick Dunn - Probably has one to two years left as a second back.
Deuce McAllister - Knee problems have curtailed a once promising career. He said recently that he still wants to play.
Ahman Green - Has dealt with knee problems in recent years and may retire.
DeShaun Foster - Should find work as a second back after camps start.
Selvin Young - Solid change of pace back.
Najeh Davenport (KR) - Talented, but an underachiever.
Rudi Johnson - Probably has a few years left as a second back.
Michael Pittman (FB) - Fits in as a second back and can play fullback if needed.
Tatum Bell - Fits in as a second back.
Chris Perry (KR) - He was recently selected in the UFL draft.
Reuben Droughns (KR) - Fits in as a third back.
Aaron Stecker (KR) - Versatile, veteran back who probably has one decent year left as a third back.
LaBrandon Toefield - Drafted by the UFL recently.
Brian Calhoun - Talented, but underachieving third back.
Maurice Hicks (KR) - Fits in as a third back.
Jesse Chatman - Fits in as a third back.
Travis Minor (KR) - Fits in as a third back.

Fullback
Cecil Sapp - He was recently selected in the UFL draft.
Patrick Pass - After being out of the league for more than a year, he signed back with the Patriots, only to be let go less than a week later.
Andrew Pinnock - He was supposed to be the heir apparent to Lorenzo Neal with the San Diego Chargers, but it never quite worked out that way.
Jon Bradley - The Detroit Lions released him recently.

Wide Receiver
Plaxico Burress - Legal issues aside, he offers terrific size at receiver and could make an impact for the team that eventual signs him.
Marvin Harrison - Turns 37 in August and it's questionable if he can still start after having knee problems in recent years.
Jerry Porter - Big receiver who still has some productive years left.
D.J. Hackett - Talented receiver who has had injury problems. Could challenge for a starting job though in a West Coast system.
Drew Bennett - Probably fits in as a third receiver.
Reggie Williams - Talented, but troubled receiver who may have a hard time finding a job any time soon.
Matt Jones - Started to realize his potential last season, but off-the-field issues are to blame for him being a free agent.
Amani Toomer - Fits in as a third receiver at this point in his career.
Marty Booker - Could find work this year as a third receiver.
Joe Jurevicius - Solid possession receiver, but has dealt with major knee problems the past year or so.
Ike Hilliard (PR) - Probably fits in as a fourth receiver at this point in his career.
Koren Robinson (KR) - Probably fits in as a fourth receiver at this point in his career.
Ashley Lelie - Speedy former first-round pick of the Broncos who fits in as a fourth receiver.
Darrell Jackson - Probably fits in as a fourth receiver at this point in his career.
Justin McCareins - Probably fits in as a fourth receiver at this point in his career.
Drew Carter - Talented receiver, but is coming off of an ACL injury.
Travis Taylor - Journeyman former first-round pick of the Ravens who fits in as a fourth receiver at this point in his career.
Robert Ferguson - Physical fourth receiver.
Dane Looker - His agent, Rick Smith, said the veteran receiver wants to still play. Fits in as a fourth receiver.
Dante Hall (PR/KR) - Fits in as a fourth receiver and as a special teams returner.
Cliff Russell (KR) - Speedy receiver who never lived up to his potential.
Tab Perry (KR) - Talented but injury prone receiver.
Anthony Mix - Big possession type and fourth or fifth receiver.
Steve Sanders - He was recently selected in the UFL draft.
Biren Ealy - Has some upside as a fifth receiver.

Tight End
George Wrighster - The Giants recently released him.
Bubba Franks - The New York Jets recently released him. Franks fits in as a second tight end at this point in his career.
Mark Bruener - May retire, but if he wants to play, he would fit in as a blocking/third tight end
Daniel Wilcox - Decent blocker who fits in as a second or third tight end.
Jerame Tuman - Fits in as a third tight end.
Courtney Anderson - One very highly regarded by the Raiders, but has bounced around quite a bit the past few seasons.
Nate Jackson - He was selected recently in the UFL draft.
Martrez Milner - Just waived by the Jets and fits in as a third tight end.
Adam Bergen - Former undrafted free agent who fits in as a third tight end.

Offensive Tackle
Levi Jones (LT) - Talented, long-time starter for the Bengals, but has suffered through various injuries over the past few years which have limited his play.
Mark Tauscher (RT) - May not be ready to play until after the regular season starts.
Jon Runyan (RT) - He still wants to play one to two years and should be ready to go by some time in August.
Jonas Jennings (LT/RT) - Oft-injured since he signed a big free-agent contract with the 49ers and probably is better off at right tackle because of his short arms.
Charles Spencer (LT/RT/G) - Very talented and versatile, but hasn't been the same after suffering a horrific leg/knee injury during his rookie season with the Texans.
Kwame Harris (LT) - Marginal starter, but could be a solid backup for a team in need of a LT.
Jason Fabini (RT/G) - Can play probably at least three spots on the offensive line. Serviceable backup at this point in his career.
Wayne Gandy (LT) - Last word we had was that he still wanted to play.
Brandon Gorin (RT) - Got hurt before last season started and didn't play, but fits in as a fourth tackle.
Junius Coston (RT) - Fits in as a fourth tackle.
Rob Petitti (RT) - He was recently selected in the UFL draft.
Fred Miller (RT) - 36-year old tackle who probably will retire.
Seth Wand (LT/RT) - He was recently selected in the UFL draft.

Guard
Kendall Simmons - 30-year old interior lineman who started 80 games in seven years for the Steelers. Could find a starting job if a team loses a guard during training camp.
Pete Kendall - He turns 36 early next month, but probably still has two good years left in him.
Terrence Metcalf - Had started 25 games in seven years with the Chicago Bears.
Edwin Mulitalo - Oft-injured interior lineman who could be a pretty solid backup at this point of his career.
Chris Naeole - Turns 35 at the end of the regular season and probably will retire.
Fred Weary - Former third-round pick of the Texans who could be a solid third guard.
Scott Peters - Basically a fourth guard.
Barry Stokes (RT/LT) - The 35-year old journeyman lineman has spent time with 10 teams in his career, but could find a new home before the regular season starts because of his versatility.
Lennie Friedman (C) - Basically a fourth interior lineman.

Center
Melvin Fowler - Could fill in as a spot starter.
Jason Whittle (G) - The 33-year old lineman is capable of playing four positions on the offensive line.
Steve McKinney (G) - He's pretty much at the end of the line, but could have one more season left. His versatility could get him a job.
Grey Ruegamer - Turned 33 this week, but we're told he still wants to play.
Matt Lehr (G) - Versatile veteran backup.
Cory Withrow - Undersized, but serviceable interior backup.

Kicker
Matt Stover - Very accurate, but a liability on kickoffs.
John Carney - Veteran kicker still wants to play. He did a solid job for the New York Giants last season.
Martin Gramatica - Hasn't been much of a factor in several years and turns 34 this fall.

Punter
Mitch Berger - Journeyman punter who should get some looks if any punters who are currently employed get hurt.
Kyle Larson - Long-time Bengal punter who was released earlier this year.
Dirk Johnson - Another journeyman punter, but could find interest closer to the start of the season.
Ryan Plackemeier - Former seventh-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks who has bounced around a bit since being waived by them.
Derrick Frost - Veteran punter who struggled with the Packers last year.

Defensive Tackle
Dewayne Robertson (DE in 3-4) - Former first-round pick of the New York Jets who has underachieved, but has experience in 3-4 and 4-3 schemes.
John Thornton- Probably could still start if needed.
Brian Young - Coming off of knee problems, but offers a solid role as a top backup if healthy.
Darwin Walker - Fits in as a backup at this point in his career.
Hollis Thomas - Mammoth DT who fits in as a third or fourth tackle.
Ellis Wyms (DE) - Versatile, solid backup or could start for a while if needed.
Kindal Moorehead - Fits in as a fourth tackle.
Antwan Lake - Fits in as a fourth tackle.
Kenderick Allen - Fits in as a fourth tackle.
James Reed - Fits in as a fourth tackle.
Langston Moore - Fits in as a fourth of fifth tackle.
Jeff Zgonina - Veteran interior player who may retire.

Defensive End
Vonnie Holliday (DE in 3-4) - Still could start.
Travis LaBoy (OLB in 3-4) - Lots of injuries in his career, but has talent.
Kevin Carter (DE in 3-4) - Still wants to play and may re-sign with the Buccaneers.
Anthony Weaver (DE in 3-4) - Versatility should help him find work.
Kalimba Edwards - Should find work as a third end.
John Engelberger - Can play inside if needed. Decent backup.
Jason Babin - Former first-round pick of the Houston Texans who has been a big disappointment.
Rosevelt Colvin (OLB in 3-4) - He's had his share of injuries in his career and fits in as a backup.
Ebenezer Ekuban - Fits in as a third or fourth end.
Earl Cochran - Texans took their restricted tender off the table, but have some interest in re-signing him at some point.
Jerome McDougle - Underachieving former first-round pick of the Eagles who has battled a lot of bad luck and injuries over his career.
Josh Thomas - Basically a fourth or fifth end.
Gary Stills - He was recently selected in the UFL draft.
Orpheus Roye - 3-4 DE who fits in as a fifth end.
Simon Fraser - Can play in either 3-4 or 4-3, but is a deep backup.

Inside Linebacker
Nate Webster (SLB) - Probably could still start if needed.
Derek Smith - His agent, Frank Bauer, said the 34-year old LB still wants to play.
Teddy Lehman - Talented, but oft-injured LB.
Napoleon Harris - Probably a backup at this point in his career.
Junior Seau - He hasn't said if he still wants to play.
Ryan Nece (SLB) - He's a solid, versatile backup.

Outside Linebacker
Derrick Brooks (WLB) - Will need to find a team that plays a cover-2. He said recently that still wants to play.
Marcus Washington (SLB) - Decent pass rusher in a 4-3 scheme from OLB.
Morlon Greenwood (WLB) - Long-time starter for the Dolphins and Texans and probably should be able to find a starting job if a team needs one during training camp.
Donnie Edwards (ILB/WLB) - 36-year old LB who could find work as camps get underway.
Jamie Winborn (WLB/SLB) - Versatility should help him find a backup job.
Antwan Peek (SLB/OLB in 3-4) - Missed all of last season with a knee injury and dealt with knee problems in 2007.
Dontarrious Thomas (WLB/MLB) - Versatility may help him find work as a backup.
Alex Lewis (SLB) - The Lions recently released him.
Willie McGinest (OLB in 3-4/DE in 4-3) - Best suited in a 3-4 as a backup. He reportedly still wants to play.
Shantee Orr (SLB/OLB in 3-4) - Decent pass-rushing OLB. Would be a solid backup.
Rocky Boiman (SLB/MLB) - Solid special team player and can play at least two positions at linebacker.
Carlos Polk (OLB in 3-4) - Veteran who fits in a 3-4 scheme as a fifth or sixth LB.
Gary Stills (SLB/OLB in 3-4) - Good special teams player, but was selected in the UFL draft.
Gilbert Gardner (SLB/WLB) - Former third-round pick of the Colts who fits in as a fifth or sixth linebacker.
Kris Griffin (ILB/MLB) - Solid special teamer and deep backup LB.

Safety
Dexter Jackson - Lots of injury issues in recent years.
Lawyer Milloy - Smart player, but may not find a starting job out there if he still wants to play.
Corey Chavous - It's questionable if he'll find a starting job.
Dwight Smith - Probably not a starter at this point in his career.
Sammy Knight - May decide to retire.
Keith Davis - Recently released by the Raiders. Davis is a solid special teams player and fits in as a fourth safety.
Will Demps - Solid backup.
Mike Green - Smart player who fits in as a fourth safety.
Kevin Kaesviharn - Got a decent free agent deal from the Saints two years ago, but really should be a backup.
Terrence Holt - Probably will not get starting consideration.
Mike Doss - He was recently selected in the UFL draft.
Calvin Lowry - Released by the Jaguars lately and fits in as a fourth safety.
Cameron Worrell - Fourth safety.
Michael Boulware - The conversion from linebacker in college never worked out.
J.R. Reed (KR) - Fourth safety.

Cornerback
Mike McKenzie - It's questionable whether he'll be able to find a starting role.
Chris McAlister - May be asked to play safety.
Patrick Surtain - Probably a nickel back these days.
Travis Fisher - Starting days are probably over.
Ty Law - Best used in a nickel situation. Law is a smart player who could help a young secondary.
Fakhir Brown - Probably not a starter these days.
Adam Jones (KR/PR) - Troubled, but talented DB who probably needs to play in a nickel role. His return ability should get him some attention.
Brian Kelly - Veteran cornerback who fits in a nickel role.
David Barrett - Fits in well as a nickel back.
Michael Lehan - Good-sized nickel cornerback.
Ricky Manning, Jr. - Scappy nickel cornerback.
Deltha O'Neal - Nickel cornerback at this point in his career.
Jason Webster - He told us recently that he still wants to play.
Jason Craft - Can handle a nickel role.
Daven Holly - Young cornerback who needs to prove he's all the way back from his ACL injury.
R.W. McQuarters (PR) - Can probably handle a nickel role.
David Macklin - Serviceable dime cornerback.
Sam Madison - Like many veterans on this list, best used in a dime defense.
Lewis Sanders - Big defensive back who may have to play safety at some point in order to get a job.
Reynaldo Hill - Basically a dime cornerback.
Stanley Wilson - Dime cornerback.
Will James - Never the same since suffering a neck injury earlier in his career with the Giants.
Aaron Glenn - Was once one of the top cornerbacks some years ago, but is now just a dime cornerback.
