Dolphins unusual preseason schedule

After doing some checking,

This may be the 1st time i've seen this happen...

ALL 4 teams that Miami plays this preseason,

they play during the regular season !

Anyone know if this has happened before ?

That is weird......UNDER in all games! Both teams will not want to show offensive schemes. Could be worth a shot. 3-1 makes you $$.

I'll take it upon myself to get some numbers on this over the weekend...(bit late for Wk. 1 I know! kurby )...
...but my gut-feel is that it doesn't have much baring on the result.

I mean, a) [Generally] No-one game-plans for these things anyway...
...b) Lots of reserves running around...
...c) Teams still pull the odd 'stunt' (ie. fake punts etc.)...
...and d) People tend to forget that there are as many (if not more!) defensive 'tricks' teams don't want to show off just yet.

Basically, yeah, offensive play calls are going to be pretty vanilla...on all games...I can't see any reason why future meetings would be any different.
But I shall get back to you on that in a couple of days. :mj06:

(But as for the premise, I doubt whether it's ever happened before...and, in a perverse way, I guess it kinda proves it, given the NFL don't want boring X-games. :shrug: )

Where I've played them all, and beat them all, and I played them all, and lost to them all. You like to think that there's one formula for that, but there really isn't.

I think there is value, because the players get an exposure to who's on the roster. It's an expanded roster, but who the core guys are, what the core concepts are. How do you play a West Coast offense? How do you play a team that's a stretch team? How do you play those things, because there will be carry over.

You hope that the work that you do here, is information that you can put into the bank and start at a higher level when you see them the next time, understanding that there will be a lot more information on them.

They'll probably have done a lot more things. The roster will have changed. We'll have changed. We'll be doing different things, but there's some core things that I think you can really draw from."
