So. Cal
very rarely does anyone outside of sc go undefeated in the pac-10 any longer (and sc usually looses a game)

so

since they arent ranked high to start they will need to run the table to have a chance at the bcs title game......and even then, they are behind an undefeated texas-ou-fla and close to a 1 loss tex-ou-fla in bcs standings

and im not sure that they are even the second best team in the pac-10.....might be oregon.

Where it is real F ing COLD
I say what the hell? Throw $20 on em? If you think they have a shot why not? What if they do win the championship? You don't want to be saying to yourself, "I wish I would of put $20 on them!" The $20 lost won't compare to the kick in the ass you will be giving yourself if they win..

I think Cal can play in the BCS Championship game if they have a BETTER record than all but one of the following - (Texas, Oklahoma), (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU), (Va Tech, Florida State), Notre Dame, (Penn State, Ohio State) and USC* (given that they beat USC).

I'm not sure I'd go much lower than 20-1 on the above happening. When you factor in beating USC and actually winning the championship game, it looks like a lot longer odds to me than 51-1, so personally, I'd have to pass.

* the reason schools like Ole Miss, Oklahoma State and Georgia Tech aren't in the list is that I don't think that they would play in the game even with an equivalent record due to lack of a current big-time reputation and the prejudices of the voters (see Auburn '04).

Cal is solid this year, that said, I think it's almost more likely that they lose 2 games, than make the championship. I wouldn't play it, but GL.....
