Barack Obama, the US President, has been depicted as a chainsaw wielding Zombie-killer in a new comic series called President Evil.

Political opponents have portrayed the US president in a new comic series named as a play on words with the popular horror franchise Resident Evil.

The new progression of comic books see a "heavily-armed Barack" fight with and alongside fellow politicians such as former Republican Vice President Candidate Sarah Palin, Republican President Nominee John McCain and Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State.

In the comic Mr Obama crash-lands Air Force One in Washington to find the city has been taken-over by zombies, all infected by a virus originating from swine flu.

He finds himself being saved by political rival Mrs Palin, renamed ?Paladin?, as well as former presidential opponent Mr McCain, nicknamed ?McPain?.

The trio are led by Paladin towards the White House where they meet a, somewhat crazed Hillary Clinton chewing on Zombie flesh.

The zombie hunters also encounter other politicians such as former President George W Bush, who is pictured eating his own brain.

The comic book depiction is the latest satirical attack on the US President, who has recently been targeted for his efforts to reform health care and stimulus spending.

A poster depicting Mr Obama as Heath Ledger's Joker character from "The Dark Knight" has sparked controversy after appearing on the streets of Los Angeles.

It is unknown who created and distributed the image, but some argue it has racial overtones because it shows Mr Obama as a black-and-white minstrel in reverse.

Mr Obama has also appeared in the SpiderMan comic series while his election was also documented in the comic book Barack Obama: The Road to the White House, published by IDW Comics. He similarly featured in another fantasy called Barack The Barbarian, published by DDP in June.

A poster depicting President Barack Obama as Heath Ledger's "Joker" character from "The Dark Knight" has sparked controversy after it appeared on the streets of Los Angeles.

The poster shows the US president with white face paint, dark eye shadow and smudged red lipstick above the caption "socialism", in an apparent attack on the US president's efforts to reform health care and stimulus spending.

It is unknown who created and distributed the image, which some believe has racial overtones because it shows Mr Obama as a black-and-white minstrel in reverse.

Earl Ofari Hutchinson, president of the Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable, denounced the image and called on those behind it to reveal themselves. "Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery.

"It is mean-spirited and dangerous.

"We have issued a public challenge to the person or group that put up the poster to come forth and publicly tell why they have used this offensive depiction to ridicule President Obama."

A stark visual contrast to Shepard Fairey's popular red, white and blue image of the president-elect featuring the caption "hope", the "socialism" image has appeared as Mr Obama is facing a growing swell of criticism as he attempts to force through his $1 trillion health care programme.

The "socialism" poster has spread virally across the internet, crashing the website that first displayed images of it and rising to the top of Google's "Today's Hot Trends" list. Paper versions also appear to be spreading, with some showing up in Atlanta, Georgia.

Some Right-wing commentators have seized approvingly on the image. Thomas Lifson wrote on the conservative American Thinker website: "It is starting. Open mockery of Barack Obama, as disillusionment sets in with the man, his policies, and the phony image of a race-healing, brilliant, scholarly, middle-of-the-roader."

The liberal tabloid "LA Weekly", which depicted George W. Bush, the former president, as Dracula on its cover in 2004, denounced the Obama-Joker poster as virulently racist.

"It has a bit of everything to appeal to the drunk tank of California conservatism: Obama is in white face, his mouth (like Ledger's Joker's) has been grotesquely slit wide open and the word 'Socialism' appears below his face," wrote its blogger Steven Mikulan. "The only thing missing is a noose."

Barack Obama faces 30 death threats a day, stretching US Secret Service

Barack Obama faces 30 death threats a day, stretching US Secret Service

US President Barack Obama is the target of more than 30 potential death threats a day and is being protected by an increasingly over-stretched and under-resourced Secret Service, according to a new book.

Since Mr Obama took office, the rate of threats against the president has increased 400 per cent from the 3,000 a year or so under President George W. Bush, according to Ronald Kessler, author of In the President's Secret Service.

Some threats to Mr Obama, whose Secret Service codename is Renegade, have been publicised, including an alleged plot by white supremacists in Tennessee late last year to rob a gun store, shoot 88 black people, decapitate another 14 and then assassinate the first black president in American history

Most however, are kept under wraps because the Secret Service fears that revealing details of them would only increase the number of copycat attempts. Although most threats are not credible, each one has to be investigated meticulously.

According to the book, intelligence officials received information that people associated with the Somalia-based Islamist group al-Shabaab might try to disrupt Mr Obama's inauguration in January, when the Secret Service co-ordinated at least 40,000 agents and officers from some 94 police, military and security agencies.

More than a dozen counter-sniper teams were stationed along the inauguration parade route and the criminal records of employees and hotel guests in nearby buildings were scrutinised.

Despite all this, there were glaring loopholes in the security. Kessler describes how more than 100 VIPs and major campaign donors were screened by metal detectors but then walked along a public pavement before boarding "secure" buses and were not checked again.

It could have been relatively simple for an assassin to have mingled with them in order to get close enough to shoot the new president.

After Mr Obama was elected president, his two children Malia, 11, codenamed Radiance, and Sasha, eight, codenamed Rosebud, began receiving Secret Service protection. Mr Obama's wife Michelle is codenamed Renaissance. The Secret Service also started to protect Vice-President Joe Biden's children, grandchildren, and mother.

Instead of bringing in more agents - instantly identifiable because of their bulky suits, worn over bullet-proof jackets, and earpieces - the Secret Service directed agents to work longer hours to cover the extra load and to miss firearms training, physical fitness sessions and tests.

"We have half the number of agents we need, but requests for more agents have fallen on deaf ears at headquarters," a Secret Service agent told Kessler. "Headquarters' mentality has always been, 'You can complete the mission with what you have. You're a U.S.S.S. agent'."

Mr Biden's constant travel, including back to his home state of Delaware-the burden has meant that all agents on his team have ceased training. According to Kessler, however, they fill in forms stating they have "taken and passed all tests, when they have not, creating a dishonest culture".

The Secret Service has increasingly cut corners after it was absorbed by the new Homeland Security Department under Mr Bush. Kessler said that when Mr Biden threw the first pitch at the first Baltimore Orioles game of the 2009 season, the Secret Service did not screen any of the more than 40,000 fans, stunning his agents and the local Secret Service field office.

I just posted the news stories

It has to be a very stressful time to be a Secret Service Agent, or any form of Law Enforcement that is involved with protecting Obama when he is on the move. Imagine the stress the "Barrack Doubles" deal with?

I believe that he deserves the protection that he gets, and more.

I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANYTHING UGLY HAPPEN ! The FreeCreditReport.com commercials are torture enough ! Wall to Wall B.O. stubbed his toe would be brutal ! :nono:
