FIRST RACE ? SOFTLY SINGING tipped her hand when second in her debut and with that effort behind her the daughter of Holy Bull should be set to graduate. MULTIFACETED is a first timer by Tiznow in the Harty barn with a solid series of works and Gomez. She should be fit enough for big effort first try out. NEEKO is bred for speed (Swiss Yodeler) and may be worth a look at a price. Long shot: Linda Surfprise.

SECOND RACE ? SCOTTISH DIAMOND, second off the claim for Mullins, ran well at the level last time out, shortens up a half furlong and rates the edge in a tough affair. NORTHERN SOLDIER is a class dropper exiting a productive heat and should be a solid fit in this league. FURIOSO STAR, now in the Troeger barn, returns to the main track and has enough speed to be forwardly placed throughout. Long shot: Deluxe Cat.

THIRD RACE ? BOX OFFICE GIRL, in the money in her last six starts, is long overdue for a win and may have found a field she can beat. PRINCESS WINDSHARP was a good third at 47-1 in a similar spot recently and with another forward move should be right there. INCA'S FLIGHT is lightly raced and improving and should be rolling in the final furlong. Long shot: Playa Bonita.

FOURTH RACE ? TANGLED TANGO, now in the Sadler barn, was an excellent third in the Del Mar Derby last year and launches a comeback in the conditioned allowance ranks. The works say ready. SPURRIER is racing in sharp form and figures to enjoy an ideal pace prompting trip. CIGAR MAN, in the money in three of his last four, should be running on late and helps make it a very competitive heat. Long shot: Lockford.

FIFTH RACE ? DREAM NOW drops into a claimer for the first time, gets Bejarano, and may have found his proper level. ONE CALL should be prominent throughout from the rail and with further improvement figures in the battle to the wire. RAINBOW GOOSE is another dropping in for a tag and should improve considerably in this softer spot. Long shot: Dixie Passion.

SIXTH RACE ? HEADACHE returns to his claim and winning level and won for this rider two races back. He seems capable of producing the lat run. KRIS SILVER beat a softer field in gate to wire fashion and similar front running tactics likely will be employed from the inside post. SENSATIONAL SCORE, first off the claim for O'Neill, figures to be running on late and is worth using in the exotics. Long shot: Pointing Star.
SEVENTH RACE ? RUNAWAY BANDIDO closed resolutely to be second in his debut and with improvement should be along in plenty of time. KARMALIZE removes blinkers following a promising runner up try at Saratoga and is a fit on speed figures on this circuit. TWENTY HAWKS, an okay fourth in his only outing, is another likely to go better with experience and can get at least a share. Long shot: Killer Bear.

EIGHTH RACE ? ARTISTIE ROYAL is overdue for another win, switches to Gomez, and seems capable of producing a winning late kick. SPRING HOUSE is the defending Del Mar 'Cap champ and is the likely choice and strictly the one to beat. BLACK ASTOR scored a mild upset in the Sunset 'Cap at Hollywood Park last time out and he could be dangerous right back if allowed to establish an easy lead. Long shot: Unusual Suspect.
NINTH RACE ? STEAM IRON beat a lesser field in impressive style, lands a cozy outside post and looks like a repeater. MARTINI MIXER, first off the claim for Carava, is lightly raced and a solid fit on speed figures. She gets Gomez and should be close up throughout. GOOD NIGHT GYRENE takes a class drop and should improve at this level. Long shot: Nine to Dine.
10TH RACE ? STAR REDEEMER is a prototype late-running sprinter with a solid recent maiden win from off the pace and could be tough right back with Bejarano in this first level allowance affair. STEADY DEMAND, a $25,000 Mullins claim, has been freshened since mid July and should fire his best shot. THE BAT SIGNAL, claimed in his last pair, should be running on strongly late and can at least get a piece of it. Long shot: Russian Liquor.
Best bet: Softly Singing (1st).
