I'm an absolute techno idiot so any help would be most appeciated. Lots of hotels have free wifi. Is it fast enough to watch 'live streaming' sports? Just curious. Plan on taking a lengthy trip and wifi seems to be the most available internet option. Again, any help would be most appeciated. Also, I have yet to purchase a laptop. Any 'used' laptop that might be best for watching?

thanks. If you're going to be staying somewhere that only has wifi available, is it possible to have the 'streaming sports videos' played on the TV furnished in the room. How much would it cost me to have a techie set-up a router or whatever is needed to faciilitate this kinda thing? Any guess?

you wouldn't need it, get a laptop with a wireless internet card installed then you log onto the hotels network and run a video cord from your laptop to the back of the tv.

Note: Some hotels WiFi are much better then others. No real way to tell until ya get there. But don't think that all WiFi connections are the same, they are not. For example if you are downloading it can take 10 minutes at one hotel and then 30 minutes at another.

As for watching live streams, I watch em all the time at hotels, never really had a problem. 95 % of the time you'll be fine:SIB
