Looked at the early numbers and Cinci caught my eye right away. I honestly believe that Kelly might have a top 10 team.

Marshall looks like a nice home dog on the surface but I'd be careful. BG looks to be vastly improved so far. Agree with NIU. they can defend a bit and run the ball, the top two things I look for in a tasty dog.

I also hit Army right away at -7. Ball State is God awful in every aspect.

EMU is definitely a play. Michigan will be trying to get healthy this week. As many as four starters who were banged up but played against ND will be held out this week.

Head to head in some of those leans but that may be good for you because I was cold last week.

Cheers

FYI Cie, that information I gave your earlier in the thread might be bad. Getting some conflicting reports now. Supposedly RichRod is not real pleased with Carr's old crew (lot's of behind the scenes politics that aren't of importance on this board). Hearing he may be willing to let everyone run this week and potentially well into the 2nd half.......

I'd still tend to lean to EMU fwiw.

Thx gents. EMU and Tulsa are high on my list. Will look into Marshall further before booking it.

Played 2 early:

Mich St +11 (-108) x2
VT un51.5 x3

Going to be a bit more selective this week, and may buy back Mich St in the 9's. Just wanted to get it at 11 when I saw 10.5s all over

I am liking Vols +29.5.

I know some on here indicated last week was not a lookahead spot for Vols, but I have to respectfully disagree. Vols will be a more focused team this week, as this is the game they circled months ago. Sure, Crompton is who we thought he was, but this isn't the same Florida offense w/o Harvin. Too many times I watched Harvin bail them out over the past couple of seasons in big SEC games. I am confident that FL offense will be contained to some degree. Gators have a lingering inury at DL line could hurt vs. the run happy Vols.

I know how it is. I receive conflicting info from SEC message boards and those in the know on a regular basis. Early in the week, it was posted by moderators of a "respected" LSU message board that Les and Crowton were having a tif, and Les took over play-calling in the 3Q. Yesterday, I was promised by a team "insider" that this was simply not the case.

I like EMU anyway. Too much going on for young master Forcier and Mich this week. It goes to show how outrageously fickle media and fans are. ND loses a close road game to a quality team and now the Domers suck. Mich wins at home vs. a quality team and now Mich are world-beaters. I remain unphased;) GL sir...

The media should be ashamed of itself. Two weeks ago RR was being fired, Dantonio owned the state and Tressel the Big Ten. Now, RR is a God, Dantonio is John L Smith and Tressel is Carr II. Downright comical!

Cie, I am trying to remember when Vandy was a 9 point favorite to any sec team? Then again, maybe MSU is just that bad? what is your take on the spread?

Dores layed 10+ in SEC play a couple of times with Cutler at the helm. Can't remember how it went for them in those matchups.

Vandy has a solid OL and the QB looked better than his stats last week. Weather and a couple of drops didn't help his cause at LSU. After losing 2 starters LW (FS and RT), I would not be eager to lay points with this team.

Because I watched Vandy leave it all on the field last week, I initially found MSU +9 interesting. Decided to lay off due to 2nd straight roadie, plus questionable play at QB and poor play in the defensive front.
