The sad thing is Serena has been around for how many years now and this is really defining her right now which is sad.
I think it would have been much different had she apologized during the press conference and looked as though she meant it.
Look at Kanye. People blasted him way harder and he is a huge ass. He looked sincere in his apology and people have moved on. And he went on Leno to make sure people saw his apology. Where was Serena with her apology? On Twitter or something.
It is all about correcting a wrong and she didn't do it until she was basically told to days later.

Seriously, why does this behavior shock anyone? She and Venus are notorious bad sports, we've seen it over the course of their careers.
Never complimenting an opponent for beating them --it's always they "they" didn't play well.

kelly.....well said....well said indeed. If people knew the stuff they do "behind the scenes" nobody would like them. Let's just say I have friends in the ITF/WTA that deal with em, and you wouldn't believe the shit that family pulls. Oh and the father is a wack job. Those two sisters are more then "poor sports" I know that for a fact.

speaking of race issues,i had a bit of a confrontation the other day in my local supermarket...
a black dude approached me and said these words:
"excuse me, do you have the time?"...
i answered, "uh, 3pm"...
he said, "thank you"...
deep down though, i knew he was thinking that obama was "the man" and i was a powerless honky that cannot stop him, even if i wanted to.....
luckily, that was the end of the conversation...it could have gotten much worse. ...for example, he could have said, "nice weather, hot enough for you?" or "do you know any good resturants around here" or something just as sinister.....
i was glad to get out of the supermarket alive that day...it was pretty harrowing......:shocked:
