According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Matt Hasselbeck does have a fractured rib and his status for Week 3 is up in the air.

The play Hasselbeck got hurt on looked remarkably similar to the play that Donovan McNabb cracked his rib on in Week 1. Hasselbeck tweeted Sunday night that he is going to be "alright" after getting examined at the hospital, but the MRI results are not in yet. Even though Peter King tweeted that Hasselbeck should be OK for Week 3, consider the quarterback questionable.

There is a ton of late hit spearing going on this year. Someone's going to get their back broke. Saw two hits tonight against miami rb's and no flags were thrown. Mcnabb had a big d lineman crack him after he scored. Every one of these were late hits, they have to protect these players more from back breaking, rib cracking hits when they are down on the field.
