Millions of dollars to make stupid decisions like that. Had the game won, I mean come on. I could have called it better....

Absolute bonehead call by the Purdue coaching staff. AD should call him into his office and send him on his way. Home loss to NIU and blowing a sure win against the Domers. Can't stand either team, but really hate ND. Unreal that this joke of a coach would call TO. Irish are lucky not to be 1-3. MSU gagged two weeks ago and PU gagged tonight. Fat Charlie still has the same winning percentage as Ty but is rewarded with contract extensions. What a joke both programs are.

There were 36 seconds left - ND had plenty of time so I am not buying the idea they were going to kill the clock. I dont think the timeout made any difference.

LOL... Fat Charlie? Never heard of that one before... We are lucky to be 1-3 Yeah, Maybe... We could also be 4-0 like Michigan...

ND didn't have their best player M. Floyd, starting running back Armando Allen and Clausen had a severe turf toe and didn't play half the game... Add that up playing a rival on the road for a Saturday night game on ESPN... I will take the victory. Fat Charlie... Isn't that like the pot calling the kettle black.

I totally agree. Without the TO they get to the line and snap the ball with 20 maybe 15 at worst. There was plenty of time, maybe they would have had to worry but I don't think it meant anything in the end.

I think the TO made some difference but not a lot. ND would of gotten 2 plays off with 36 secs left. But they didnt use the TO so ND would of snapped the ball with 20 secs and oh wait Clausen gets sacked. Then what. Its a madhouse with 12 secs left to get the 4th down play off. Now that only happens if Clausen gets sacked on 3rd down which could happen but probably not. Just throwing out that scenario..

I think the coaches saw that their D got driven on all the way down and wanted to make sure they were set with what they wanted to do. To that point in the drive Purude hadn't stopped them, the coaches either saw they needed a breather or wanted to try and get the best defensive call they could. Now it didn't work but I can't blame them.

As an FYI, Weis said in the press conference that he was going to take a timeout and give up third down.

There was no follow up question regarding the fact that it makes no sense.

I didnt think they had a time out ?
If they did then it really would not have mattered if Purdue used one.
