From Newsweek:
This spring Danny Almonte batted .472 with 18 HRs and had a 9-0 pitching record for Western Oklahoma. Though major league scouts watched him pitch in the JC Division II World Series, Almonte wasnt drafted. Coach says he has major league talent with a fastball topping 90, but claims he is being blackballed because of the Little League scandal. "If his name was anything different, he'd have a pro contract."
My opinion: bullshit. Since when does the MLB stand for the Moral League Baseball. Who cares what happened in Little League? I'm to believe there isnt a team in MLB that wouldnt overlook that to sign him if he were that good??
