This is going to be one of the best world series EVER.

Best part is I think the books will still discount the Phillies as they did in the NLCS being dogs to the Dodgers !

Phillies is the best suited team in the NL to beat the Yankees.

Hamels has to pull his head out of his ass and start pitching.

Game #1... Sabathia vs. Lee...what a freaking classic!

Game #2... who knows for the Phillies vs. likely Burnett

Game two might be Hamels or Pedro.

If you look at hitters top to bottom 1-9 the Phiillies have a better line up than NY.

The ONE team I can guarantee you the Yankees did not want to meet in the WS is the Phillies.

It will be a great match up, seen lot of people talking that yanks will walk over phils, not a freaking chance. Phils are right there with yanks and they have just as much power and can hit for avg, score tons of runs have very good starting pitching bp's are about the same close have yanks deff about even. Rhw best match up out of the 4 team combo for the WS.

This is a Yankees team on a mission-destiny and had the best record in baseball for a reason.

For starters, I'm not going to compare how CC pitched last year against Philly because he's a more dominate pitcher this year. It's all about now-in the moment. He has made the Angels (2nd best batting team for 2009) look mediocre. That being said, the Yankees topped most categories and most notably the best batting team in all of MLB. They are on a roll and with A-Rod showing up for the post season, it's only a matter of minutes before TEX gets his timely hits.
They're getting great pitching and hitting and the same can be said about Philly.

Nonetheless, the Yankees have to beat the Angels first but they should be able to take care of that tonight.

It will no doubt be an epic series between the Yankees and Phillies but I have to give the edge to the Yankees.

I say the Yankees win the World Series in 6 games.

Didn't Lee win the Cy Young in the American League?? The Phillies continue to get no respect. They are more than capable of beating the Yankees.

Giambi I did like the Angels and I did think they would make this a 7 game series. You know the funny thing is if I could predict winners in every game or series I could retire from my full time job move to Vegas and bet for a living. :mj07: I try me best.

I still think there is a chance the ALCS goes seven. Halos have their bulldog going tonight and there will be a ton of pressure on NY on Saturday if they can't get it done tonight. Everyone has written this series off, and there are a lot of reasons to do so, but at the risk of sounding cheesy you must remember "it ain't over til it's over." It's been done before... 21% of the time rather. It's a long shot, but not a miracle.
