Right. A .400 avg means they hit only 40% of the time... and a .650 OBP means on base 65% of the time. A walk means on 100% of the time.... Almost cost em the save... 3-2 with em loaded and batter got under a HR pitch for sure.... Lucky.
First of all he is a reliever so pitching from the stretch the whole time, with runners on base or no runners on.
Also Arod homered off of Fuentes in same situation in game two.
Fuentes in Game 2 -- pitched to A-Rod, gave up tying homer, Angels lose.
Fuentes in Game 4 -- IW to A-Rod, no runs score, Angels win
Fuentes in Game 5 -- IW to A-Rod, no runs score, Angels win
But all you guys are the geniuses.

Game 2 - Tie game, Angels don't lose because of that HR
Game 4 - Angels lost 10-1, so you must be referring to Game 3
Game 5 - Who knows what would have happened if they just pitched to him. As was bases were loaded and they almost blew it.

Reactions to moves in baseball is so hindsight 20-20.
Just because something works out, doesn't mean it's the right move. Nor does it mean it'll pan out the same way next time.
Ooops, yes, I meant Game 3.
All the rest applies. True, who knows what would have happened in Game 5 had they pitched to A-Rod. I can only go by what DID happen. Angels won.
I know, I was being a smart a** because nobody really knows the right or wrong move until it happens. If it works out, manager looks like a genius. If it doesn't then he looks like a fool. Anyhow, best of luck to you when placing your future investments.
