Okay, I'll go back to my hole now and root for my 1-8 football team.

Just wanted to post this for all the people who made fun of me when I brought it up last week.

Time for carolina to play up to their potential.

I'm really excited about UNC football again. I hope Bunting can get a couple wins and I wish him the best of luck.

Saint, I replied to a post a while back about UNC/Bunting, etc. when he got fired.

For one, I have to believe that it was Bunting's idea to stay on and as a result I know he'll do everything in his power for the good of the progam. I never doubted that. It was more that in most cases I think its better to either fire at season's end or to part ways at the firing. I pretty much said my peace in that reply.

In any event, its been a long, frustrating 6 years with a few good moments. The Torbush era wasn't easy either, but I thought they played better overall football.
Just looking forward to the next few years.

doesn't look like butch is worth 3 million. should have never let dick crum go. best coach they have had in 40 years.

i did not mean to imply he was not a good coach. in my opinion he is not worth the big bucks[ 3 million?] .dick crum is the winningest coach in unc history. in his 3rd year they went 11-1 and beat texas in bowl game. he coached lawrence taylor and several nfl players . like bill guthredge in basketball he had a very quite demeanor and at that time the rams club wanted someone to lead them to the top. they did get mack brown but he saw a greener pasture and went for it. imop crum would have stayed many more years and been better for the school.

i am a duke fan. i am loving the football program at unc. not much to root for at duke since bill murray left around 1962 so i have to take my pleasure watching the whining unc fans here in raleigh. if you think the national media is in the tank for obama you should have to read the local papers and their continual unc bias.
