Obviously, they'll be playing this game if the weather permits, but I'm gonna double up on my Thurs play.....
I love the Yanks to close it out in this spot:
Yankees coming home with the veteran lefty Pettite on the mound, tied for the all-time lead in post-season victories with 15. Angels in the postseason hitting a miserable .205 against lefties with a .270 OBP (.286 and .342 on the season).
Yankees on the other hand hitting .262 with a .361 OBP against LHP in the postseason (.286 and .365 for the season, so no huge drop-off there).
I especially love them facing a lefty at home with balls flying out of the park to right field all season long.
Both these teams were tops in the league in terms of batting avg against lefties this year so this one could be high scoring. I think we could see big games from Posada and/or Matsui as they will be batting from the left side with men on (Saunders will pitch around A-Rod). If this game even does get played, considering the weather, it could be another sloppy one just like the first 2 in this series. Angels have not shown that they can handle the elements in a hostile environment during crunch time.
