Ray,
Why are the Yanks such big faves???? I thought the teams were pretty much even and since the Phils won last year, its not like they haven't been here before and are going against the Yankee dynasty.

Plus, they saw Sabathia last year when with the Brewers, Burnett when with the Marlins, and Pettite when with the Astros for a stint.

THe hitting is deifinitely even, and the bandbox ballparks are even.

The one big glaring difference for me is in the closer where Mariano is on another planet coming playoff time.

Definitely thought the line would be a lot lower.
What do you think??

Ray?....on the Phillies??????? :director: Homer :142smilie

Just kidding...BOL on this as I would love to see that happen and it surely could...if form holds, looks like the Lee-Sabathia matchups just may turn out to be bullpen games and the Joba-Hughes tandem has NOT turned out (so far in the playoffs) the way the Yanks had hoped.

So, can Cole revert back to his form or something close??? if so, I think Phillies win in less than 7 but Cole is big ???

hope you get paid on this :toast:

PHI are 18-5 in their last 23 playoff games.

SABATHIA is 1-2 when starting against PHILADELPHIA with an ERA of 5.55 and a WHIP of 1.479.
His team's record is 1-3 (-3.3 units) in these starts.
