lastnight i played a 6pt teaser (phil -3 and under 44). half of this was a winner, the other half a push. why was the bet cancelled? shouldn't i win half ($100 wager pay $150) ?

nope.. in a teaser 2 plays=1 bet and you have to win both plays for a teaser to pay. so a push is a push across the board in a 2 teamer

Hey Puckfan,

in the future, be aware of key numbers such as -3 & 44 total pts, both VERY key numbers. Pay the extra juice and go 6.5 PTS and then you have -2.5 / 44.5 and a winner. I know this doesn't help now, but it may in the future.

Some books charge "extra" to buy a 1/2 pt off -7, -3, etc... but NOT when it's a teaser. The fee is the same, usually an extra .10, but it's worth it when you have key numbers involved like last night's game. I made a post about VEGAS last night, stating that ALL 6.5 PT TEASERS won.... if you played 6.5 PTS, you could NOT lose in last nights game no matter who you liked. Makes it a little easier to play that way!! And WIN! :00hour

I play teasers all the time, shop around, some books offer no juice 6 pt teasers, -10 6.5 pt, -20 for 7. I am not sure who they are anymore, but you could find out. I'll make a post and see what comes up. Look for a new thread that says: "NO JUICE 6 PT TEASERS"

Good luck! :SIB
