In reviewing trends, South Florida looks to be the play. They're typically solid as a dog, but most of these covers came with Grothe at QB. West Vagina has been poor ATS under Bill Stewart going just 6-12.

It's no surprise that So.Fla is 5-2 as their only notable win is Florida State. The Bulls' first three opponents featured two non FBS schools and WKentucky, who just this year was inducted to Div-I and royally sucks. I will throw out the season statistics for the Bulls and focus on their recent games for a better perspective and they are not good....their defense is not very good either and appears overhyped. Sure they can take credit for beating a schizophrenic FSU team that had 4 TO's and was coming off a win over BYU where they felt like they were National Title contenders again. After the FSU game, the SF defense has given up over 250 passing ypg and close to 160 rushing ypg. Their offense has SUCKED as well managing to pass for 168 per game and rushing for 138. WVU has an excellent rush defense that holds opponents to 86 yards per game and they are 9th in the country in rush defense. BJ Daniels isn't much of a passer. Sure he is exciting when he is running, but he connects on just 53% of his passes and has 7 to 6 TD/INT ratio.

This game should come down to who will be more effective running the ball and I believe WVU will be able to run better and contain SF from being able to run the ball consistently. West Vagina's one loss was @ Auburn and they should have won this game IMHO as they outgained Auburn by over 100 yards and would have covered if not for a fluke turnover late in that game.

Devine is also a home run threat anytime he touches the ball and I can't say the same for anyone on South Florida. Daniels was even yanked last week against Pittsburgh and appears to be hitting a freshman funk. Brown hasn't been a world beater, but he's tough and tested plus a 5th year Senior signal caller.

Leaning West Vagina, but have yet to pull the trigger. Thoughts from others???

I should probably add that West Vagina's secondary looks gawd awful, but can Daniels test their secondary coming off a game against Pittsburgh where he was yanked and completed 4 of 8 passes for 54 yards and 2 INT's? Evan Landi replaced Daniels & didn't look much better.

If West Vagina grabs and early lead, Daniels will probably start pouting like he has during his past 2 starts and this game will be over.

Well after my huge writeup about how you shoudl back West Vagina, I'm going contraring!

South Florida +3.5 (-120) for 7.5* - Home crowd should be a factor and West Vagina isn't Cincy and USF should come ready to play after getting exposed last week. WVU would have lost last week if Devine doesn't break one late. The key for USF is to shutdown Devine and they win. I know easier said than done.

Shamrock,
Yes, the Bulls did look like crap, but Brown isn't exactly tearing it up for West Vagina and the public will be ALL OVER the Mountaineers. I think this number is a little generous. South Florida was approximately a 1 or 2 point dog vs. Cincy and just 6.5 point dogs @ Pitt. I think the oddsmakers have provided a little value based on how terrible South Florida looked last week.

In front of their home fans, South Florida should come ready to play. The Heat & Humidity also might wear down WVU a bit & USF has owned this rivalry albeit with Grothe @ QB and not this mistake prone kid named Daniels.

However, Daniels is an athlete & could make some plays with his legs as well. He'll also need to make a few good throws against a weak WVU secondary.

Above the Clouds....
Just looked at the line and with 65% on WV you would think that it would haved move up? Actually came down a half to 3. Makes me wonder if they are looking for WV money.
