Good for our state? Well, my opinion on that would be no, in most respects. While he was a gem from the daily entertainment angle, he was essentially a fairly ignorant, vengeful man, who demeaned women and those that he disagreed with, and could not carry on an honest discussion that challenged his thinking without getting aggressive and agitated.

That being said, he was original, he could not be swayed and did not take positions for political reasons or gain, and spoke his mind - for what it was worth. Did he help the state? I don't think so - in many ways we still live with the embarrassment of electing a guy like that that continues to say stupid things and act stupidly, but I do like the fact that our state will stand up and elect someone not cut from a traditional mold, and actually enjoys something different.

He had some good common sense ideas, and people could not pull crap on him. He was both a man of the people, and considered himself above most people. But all things considered, I don't think he was good or bad overall. Kind of an interesting sideshow for a while.

What gets me is how many women voted for him - if they had only known how he had acted and talked about women in his past, I think they would have been shocked.

He is on the ball with a lot of things, but there was something I thought I heard from him where he was really out there. Maybe it was 9/11?

Either way at least he is an honest guy. We need more of those people around.

I am not sure I agree now Trampled that we need more of those people around.

When I heard that he won that election I was happy and interested as to how he would do.

Its sounds like Chad said he made no differance.

That would dissuade me from voting for someone like that if I was in that situation.

But when you think about it maybe 4 yrs is not enough to even make a dent in the standard crap.

Although another one that is like him is Arnold. I always felt that he would do a good job and from what I read about it he has alot of naysayers , but has been making inroads.

I would vote for Arnold for President but he aint a American Citizen :scared :142smilie

oh chit

I just meant more people that really speak their mind. We never hear the truth out of politicians. Its a joke.
