God, I hope so.... Weis has been the best recruiter ND has had since Lou Holtz, but, obviously, he's not a very good coach. I just the adminstration makes a good decision this time... I can only prey that Brian Kelly would take the job.:SIB

seems everyone who fled Bellichick has not done well. Charlie, Romeo, fat boy man genius, players as well, Samuel and Woody have continued to play well, but most have had sub successful careers.

I'm not going to say I'm thrilled with Weis, but I hope they stick with him.

This has been a weird year, in that, they could easily be about 4-5 but at the same time...if they get one more 1st down against Michigan, make an extra point against USC and then the inside receiver doesn't slip on the last play of the game....they would have been 8-0, ranked 4th in the nation, and we'd be talking about the enormous upset Navy just pulled.

But yeah, disappointing loss today. Navy dominated most of the game and that just should not happen. Navy is not a bad team and they almost beat Ohio State but still, we shouldn't get pushed around at home by Navy.

It will be interesting to see how the season finishes out too. 6-3 right now and all of the next 3 games could go either way. I think we end up 8-4 and play in an above average bowl which would be an improvement on last season.

I'm a huge ND fan have been my whole life, not really ever been a big fan of Charlie, but on this one I blame the QB Clausen you can't fumble at the 2 yard line going in! I do though blame Charlie for not getting the ball to Golden Tate more he's the most talented player on the offense! ND has loosened the academic requirements a bit but until they loosen them up more they got no chance at even being in the top 10. Nor sure what ND was thinking when they gave Charlie that huge contract!! Best of luck to everyone tomorrow. Rock

Loss at home two years ago to Navy. Followed that game with a loss to Air Force (giving up 41 points in the process).

Loss at home to a 2-8 Syracuse team last season.

Stroke of luck to beat Washington, Purdue and Michigan State this season.

Loss at home to Navy today. That's two losses in three years to a team that ND had not lost to in the previous 43 years.

After 5 years he needs to be shown the door. There is no program defining win under Weis. The only game he can point to are the two close losses in five years to USC.

35-24 record with one bowl win over Hawai'i

Will have at least three losses in each of his five seasons as head coach.

3-16 vs teams with a winning record since 2007.

They suck and theres no denying it...........losing to Navy at home, the same team that gave up a thousand yards rushing to Temple last week while losing at home......UNREAL

I love it when people repeat what you said in a post without realizing it and make asses of themselves.

Yeah, they were pretty close to being 4-5 but also close to being 8-0 as well. That's what I said in my post. Go back and read it.

Maverick, don't show your stupidity so blatantly.
