Yesterday at work, 119 people in the office where I work, a young lady (late 20's - early 30's) had organized a pot luck for all of the veterans in our office, approximately 12 vets.

I don't know this lady, but I am now a big fan of hers. The pot luck was great, she had a CD playing in the background with the music from each branch of the service, playing over and over.

In her original flyer announcing the pot-luck and asking for volunteers to contribute their favorite dish, she had a picture of a Marine standing in front of a flag, with a sharp salute. It said in bold letters "America the home of the brave, BECAUSE of the brave!" Wow.

I will make it a point to meet this young lady and find out her story.....it was a great jesture....
