KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Two UT football players are now facing charges of armed robbery.

A member of the UT Sports Information Department confirmed to us that Nu'Keese Richardson and Janzen Jackson were arrested about 2:00 o'clock Thursday morning.

The incident happened at the Pilot convenience store on Cumberland Avenue.

Police say the men were armed with a small semi automatic handgun and robbed a person in the parking lot.

Police arrested them a few minutes later.

Again, UT football players Nu'Keese Richardson and Janzen Jackson are under arrest in connection with an early morning armed robbery.

Very interesting because both were suspended for parts of last week's game. In fact, Jackson failed a drug test and was suspended for the entire game and NuKeese missed a practice.

Guess they were getting together for the plot. Hell this at least makes my interesting line system play a little more solid!:mj07:

My god, what could have been going thru their heads. Thanx WarEagle, I was looking at the Vols as a top play this week...and although I had made a mistake with their ratings I still liked them. Got to be a blow for Kiffin, they had really made strides this year and have showed they could play with anyone. Get-em a bus ticket in a hurry so they don't influence anyone else.

STUPIDITY rules in the minds of young.
This is ONE of the MANY reasons these kids need to either have allowances other then food or be allowed to work. None the less, when you decide to do something this dumb and possibly hurt someone they should be jailed. Sure this wasnt Kifflins way of showing the team has a few tough guys, he is a wierd one, Maybe they should of talked to Maurice Clarrett before they actually tried to go thru with it.

It is funny to listen to the idiot Fulmerites come out of the woodwork this morning and start bashing Kiffin on local radio. Fulmer had more players arrested than any other coach in college football history.:mj07:

The difference is Kiffin will get rid of them and Fulmer would keep them.

It just amazes me that these punks are given a free pass to be successful and live a good life. Then rather than embracing the opportunity, they piss it all away.
