I can't argue much with it. Except maybe put the Patriots vs Colts winner above the Saints.:0corn

Agree with it all except the Falcons, who would fall out of the top ten (and are not ahead of Dallas due to the head to head loss, as much as it pains me to say)

Would probably shift Arizona into their spot.

Colts have played a very weak schedule. NE will win this week imo. I initially had NE above Saints, but decided to allow 2-loss NE to earn its way ahead of the currently undefeated Saints in 2 weeks.

i think,in spite of wetting the bed this past weekend, with westbrook back the iggles would be favored over several of these clubs on a neutral(broncos and falcs,imo..probably san diego,too)....

just throwing my 2cents in...it`s all subjective...

interesting topic..

Agree, and you could maybe throw Cincy into the mix, not saying the Eagles would beat them, but I do not think the Bengals have fully won over everyones respect.

STEELERS?

the colts and saints have yet to lose! what more do you want from them? They have beaten every team on their schedule and the steelers and pats havn't. I guess the steelers could lose out and as long as they have a great run defense ur going to love them as #1.

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
My first six would be the same, probably in a different order.

There is a B-I-G gap between Minnesota and Atlanta, far more than the gap between Pittsburgh and Minnesota . . . I even think Minnesota is better coached than Atlanta right now. :scared

heres my list (with a quick explanation)

1. Indianapolis Colts (show me a loss and ill take them off the top)
1. New Orleans Saints (show me a loss and ill take them off the top)
3. New England Patriots (playing better every week and they have Brady)
3. Cincinnati Bengals (leading the AFC north is tough to do)
5. Minnesota Vikings (leads the NFC north and has SB tallent)
6. Pitsburgh Steelers (have been impressive BUT u will never be in my top 5 if ur not leading your division + you lost to the bears)

7-10 (who cares its a toss up)

7. Denver Broncos
8. Dallas Cowboys
9. Atlanta Falcons
10. Arizona Cardinals

HELL
Right now you would have to put....

1. Indy, just because they are undefeated, and the Manning factor, plus they have won it all before, but the loss of Sanders IMO will catch them sooner or later.

2. NO, again have not lost and if they can HF advantage they will be deadly in the playoffs, but will their D eventually catch up to them.

3. Pittsburgh, catching stride now, and outside of games with Cincy and 2 with Baltimore, their schedule remaining is pathetic. Their 2 losses were down to the wire where they could have won and on the road. Ahead of Minny due to H-2H win.

4. Minny, solid D, great runner, but will Favre's arm fall apart like last season?

5. NE, Brady starting to play better and get into rhythm. Still many concerns about the D IMO, not what they used to be, seem slow. This weekend's game will tell a lot.

6. Dallas, playing good football right now.

7. Cincy, a very underrated team, solid running with Benson and a new found D. 85 playing great too plus a veteran QB. Big game on the road this weekend against Pitt. They do still have to play SD and Minny. Could make a case for them being higher due to them beating PITT earlier, but afterall just not ready to annoint them anything due to the fact of them collapsing over the years.

From here a crap shoot....Philly, ATL, Arizona, Denver, SD

i don't think it makes much sense to put pitt over minn because of head to head factor but pitt over cincy because cincy has collapsed in the past yet cincy beat them this year. what's the purpose of playing the game if cincy's win over pitt means nothing and they have the same record? i'm not saying cincy will win this week but they're better than pitt at this point in the season based on the accomplishments of both teams. Cincy has beat everyone in their division.

I agree with this.. And I also agree with JR that the loss of Sanders will catch up with the Colts. As for Favre's arm, from what I read the doctors say is arm is much better than last year after having the tendon snip.. No one is worried about it medically or staff wise.. Only people who worry are the fans... We will have to wait and see but for the first 8 games the gunslinger has been strong.

I realize we are talking about the best teams in the league right now currently. I however cant help but to think about the playoffs when trying to figure out what teams are the best in the league. In the AFC, I honestly do not see cincy getting it done vs. pitt, indy or new england come playoff time. NFC I think Neworleans is obvious number 1 and minnesota a close second. I am from the pittsburgh area but I hate the steelers. My entire family is steeler fans which translates into me watching everygame they play. Ill tell you right now that I see this team heading back to the superbowl. They flat out win big games. They lost to chicago and cincy i know, but i watched both games and both shouldve probably been steeler wins. I do agree with what people have said about INDY and NEWORLEANS having to be 1 and 2 overall because they havent lost a game. Anyways enough rambling, if I had to say top 5 teams as of right now, I would go:

1. New Orelans (record)
2. Indy (record)
3. Pitt (think they win it all)
4. Minny (favre and AP = WOW)
5. Patriots (this guy named brady plays there)
