Anyone know where I can find a template to formulate a corporate policy on employees and the media. I will be starting up a large project at the end of this year that could possibly create some issues in the state and I want to have something in writing that tells employees how to deal with media inquiries. Im not having much luck in using the Google search engine

a little befuddled by this post...i take it you know what your policy regarding media is....so you need some sort of outline?....

this is more in the line of an academic policy outline/guide,but it covers the basics...very general...might be helpful...

No GW, I am not starting my own business. I am going to be lead engineer for a pipeline project in Northern Florida that could have some environmental issue once we kickoff in early 2010. I wanted something in the employee handbooks telling them how to handle the media if they are approached, and if they fail to follow the guidelines then I want to have them aware that I can send them packing. I will have around 450 employees on a 240 mile stretch, so I cannot babysit them. I appreciate the info and will take a look at the links.

Guys, I do not do the hiring, but if you want to send me your resume then I will give it to the HR Dept, but I cannot make any promises. The company is based out of Freetown, Mass, and I just manage the project for them, I have no input in the hiring process, as I hate dealing with HR issues, so I am glad that they take that issue away from me. I will tell you guys that you both should send your resumes to US Pipeline Corp, Henkels and McCoy and Price Jordan, as they all have numerous massive pipeline projects in 2010.

I was referring to your request regarding employee confidentiality as it relates to open communication to the general public and the consequences associated with these actions as an employee.
