Some you long time MJer's know me for my basketball picks from the left coast. I use to coach in the inner city of LA, when the talent was just exploding with players like Tayshaun Prince ( actually his bro was pretty good too), Paul Pierce, Baron Davis, Tyson Chandler & so on... though i never coached any player at that level of talent, the overall talent at that time was incredible.
My big emphasis is Senior Point Guard or veteran team, FT shooting and Offensive Rebounding and Defensive 3 Point shooting. I do like to include where the public $ is going and plenty of Underdogs. Try to bet 70/30 Underdog to Favorite.
Anyways I will always focus on Pac 10, Big West, West Coast Conference, WAC, Big Sky and a lil of Mountain West. Thats over 50 teams which is plenty for me, most games will be Thursday and Sunday.
Gonna post some games I like for tomorrow but will post 1 game that looks real good to me now.
San Francisco Dons -13
Lawhorn a 2 time scoring leader in WCC returns plus 3 starters return from last season. Looking for revenge vs. Cal Poly which has 7 new players and coach.
Good Luck to us all this season

Thanks JohnnyB. I've been meaning to ask you if you go to alot of Bruins game at Pauley? If so, did you happen to go last week against Concordia. I was at the game. Grew up a Bruin fan but played at Concordia (CUI) 94-98, so it was great to see us play at Pauley. Should of won the game, controlled all but 16 sec of it. I know you can't weigh the season on one game but Bruins are going to struggle this year at least the first half of the year. And especially if teams pressure them like CUI did.

Anyway GL this year and I look forward to your left coast insight.

i go to Pauley about 2-5 times a year, this year I'll see UCLA at Anaheim tourny and Staples (usc). Concordia has great guard play which right now is a big concern with Lee's injury. I agree Concordia should won that game...

I agree. Also, Drago and Keefe need to step up big for them to have any success. They're not aggressive as they should be. Yes it was their first game but still.

BTW - I'm sure you saw but Concordia beat UCI on Monday.

You guys really don't want to know how it ended, bet here goes.............

First of all, S.Fran opened the game 14-0. They never had less than a 14 pint lead until the last minute. Dons were up 21 with about 3 minutes left and then just got careless. Traveled, then dribbled it off their own knee, firing 3 pointers that didn't catch anything but air..........Then Poly makes 1 of 2 free throws and S. Fran gets the ball with 37 seconds on the clock. The announcers start talking about how interesting the game is getting since Vegas had the line at three and they really seem to know what they're doing. They say. "There's just a couple second differential between the game and shot clock as the Don's are dribbling out the clock." Then you here, "Oh no, he was trying to be cute and lost the ball." Poly runs the length of the court and lays it in...........Then they say, "Well it looks like they're are really going to run it out this time. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there right now that aren't real happy. The only time the Don's don't have the spread covered is in the last 20 seconds of the game."

Doubly worse for me because it was the last of a 3 team parlay and the last of a round robin as well. Plus at the half S. Fran was up 16, so I but another 150 on Poly +4 in the second half, so I had what was to be a nice middle kick me in the nuts.

Johnny B............You were on the right side my friend. Never had a game in my life where a team was covering a number like that right out of the gate and the entire game to have them give it away foolishly with under 20 seconds.:violin:

That's why they call it gambling.

Thanks again brother.........You're right more than your not. It's a long season ahead.

Good Night!
