Florida Atlantic +16.5 -110 x3

The Owls played their best game of the season in beating Arkansas State 35-18. A defense that had been giving up 37 points and 453 yards per game held the Red Wolves to four field goals and a touchdown and 344 yards. FAU quarterback Jeff Van Camp had another good outing in his second start, and has thrown for six touchdowns with two interceptions. Running back Alfred Morris is averaging 108.3 yards per game and has eight touchdowns. Linebacker David Hines, a true freshman, made his first start against Arkansas State and had 12 tackles and a sack. Coach Howard Schnellenberger is looking for a repeat of two years ago, knocking Troy out of the outright championship.

Troy would clinch at least a share of a fourth straight league title. FAU must win out to be 6-6 and have a chance at a bowl. Will they pick themselves up from the beating at Arkansas last week. I feel the line should be 10.5, we will see.

More to come, gl!

OHIO -1 +100 x4

Both teams with identical records and one behind in their respective divisions. Ohio has won five of the last six, with the last two wins on the road. Ohio's strong season is because of the ferocious play of the defense, which is holding opponents to just 20.9 ppg. Ohio has been outstanding in forcing mistakes this year and comes into this weekend with an impressive 30 takeaways (15 interceptions and 15 fumbles).

Northern Illinois relies heavily on the ground. Their best two running backs, Spann and Brown, have combined for 1,500 yds. Both are on the injury list. Sharp money let loose on Ohio for this reason. The Bobcats have gone from underdog to favorite at some places.

Michigan St. +3 -105 x4

Both teams vave been up and down this year at times. The home team has won 11 of 13 in the series. The Spartans lead the Big Ten in passing offense (274.1 yards) and total offense (413.8), and are third in scoring offense (31 points). QB Cousins is no longer plattooning the position, a big plus. The Spartans boast one of the three best place kickers in the nation in what looks to be a large special teams advantage. Sharps hit on the Spartans today with the injure to WR & kick returner Chaz Powell's availability.

I like it going way over, depending on the weather, which I haven't checked. I don't do much on totals in cfb.

Good luck this week Al.

Iowa State +14.5 -110 x4
Missouri lost their top receiver, Jared Perry for the season last week. Perry averaged 15 yards per catch on 46 receptions. I like State's defense and they come into the game healthy for the first time after a rash of injuries this season. Iowa State has played well in Columbia, Missouri the past two visits, losing late to two top ranked teams. The quiet word is they feel they can win this game. I capped the game at 9. This game has been hit hard by someone I really respect, following along as I normally don't make a play on this team. ;)

San Jose St. +3 -103 x3

Hawaii QB Moniz is battling a rib injury and RB Wright-Jackson looks questionable. SJS HC Dick Tomey announced his retirement at the end of the season. The team has high hopes of winning their two remaining home games.

Is it the same guy who gave you North Carolina last week?

I'll be on both of these sides, and likely heavy on Iowa St. GL this weekend.

Perry is a good receiver, and will be missed, but he is by no means MU's best receiver.

Danario Alexander has 81 catches for 1238 yards and averages 123.8 yards/game. He will play on Sundays next year.

Hi kc, thanks for sharing your plays, there are a lot of people on here who appreciate the time you take to post. I know you are a must read for me.

I gave up the golf course stuff 2 years ago. I felt 30 years was enough, I'll leave it to the younger guys. Couldn't handle the 80-90 weeks anymore.

Best of luck to you.
