Aaron Opelt Update

Aaron Opelt Update

Aaron Opelt will not start

According to the Toledo Blade:

"As for UT's quarterback situation, freshman Austin Dantin is expected to start with Opelt still recovering from a partial tear in his right rotator cuff.

Opelt said he still hopes to take at least a few snaps behind center at some point during the game.

?I want to be out there with the seniors,? Opelt said. ?It's our last home game.?"

Austin Dantin has 4 games experience this year. He has a better completion percentage than Opelt, a better quaterback rating, better TD to INT ratio, but a .3 ypc average less than Opelt and 1/4 the yards opelt has accumalated.

Biggest difference is he isnt as big a threat to run with his longest run is 12 yds on 35 attempts.

Hope this helps.
