So much for my ACC prowness yesterday, Clemson was flat. But I'll take a 5-2 7 day stretch all season long, so back to the grinding boards.
I looked at 3 college games today (Duke/Uconn, Mich St/Florida and Utah/Illinois) and after much internal debate I settled on my GEM of the day.
NCAA GEM OF THE DAY (5-2)
Mich State -4.5
I believe there is some value in this line thanks to Florida's recent victory over ACC foe Florida State. The Gators cruised to victory even though the final doesn't show how easy it was. But looking at the stats, the Gators don't matchup well with the Spartans especially in shooting the ball. The dangerous part of this play is the look ahead for Mich State to UNC on Tuesday, but I believe the Spartans are on a mission early this season and after the Gators win over Florida State the Gators might be believing in themselves a little too much. I'll side with the much stronger team top to bottom in this contest and look to rebound off my Clemson Debacle.
NBA POD 1/4 Unit play on Cavs -4.5, I'm just not believing in the Bobcats despite their 2 recent home victories. The linesmakers did this to us the other night installing the Cavs as short line favs vs. Detroit and they closed weak in that game but still won by DD's. Having faith in them once again.
