Canisius +5
:0corn
Frank Turner will be the best player on the court Monday night and will keep Canisius in this game from beginning to end, and I think the Griffs have a great shot at winning straight up. I watched EMU play the Citadel and I as not impressed. Not at all. The interior defense on EMU is very poor. They allow opp. to shoot very high %'s inside the 3 point line, and the Griffs don't rely too heavily on the 3 ball, so they will be inside that line and should have a very good shooting night.
Turner is one of the best players in the MAAC and is from Atlantic City which is about 5 mins away, so I have seen him play quite a bit. Gives his all every game and is a tremendous rebounder for a 5'10 point guard.
Only knock you could make on Frank is his turnovers, which honestly are going to happen since he plays nearly the whole game, every game. This year though he is making up for it getting a good amount of steals early on in the season. He plays tough D and I have no doubt he will be ripping Medlock of the basketball on a few occasions, making for easy layups on the other end.
I think Canisius wins straight up. If not, they'll be in it to the end, and the 5 points is definitely enough. With EMU shooting horrendous from the FT line, there will be plenty of points left there to give Canisius opportunities to stay in the game.
