Been on phone lot today backhome to fairmot, The main story out of Clarksburgh is that Bobby will step down in am and team will be Jimbo's'
I have knowen Jimbo since we played against each other in fb and baseball from age of 13 through hs, he has been around the bowdens since 1984 when he was recruited by Terry, The bowden family have very very strong ties to the tri city area (Clarksburgh,Fairmont,Morgantown) That part of wv has put out nay ncaa coaches and players as well as pro through-out the years.
Jimbo will do a very good job at fsu and i hope the media does not make a big deal out of nothing with Bobby and jimbo because I know Jim has the most respect for Bobby and the whole Bowden family and what they have done for him through-out his life.
very good person and a very good coach that will get fsu back on track, he will be changing up staff, bring in who he wants some guys will stay on coaching staff but think 1 guy will be gone soon from what i was told, Chuck a who bobby was going to make deff.cord. in place of longtime coach micky Andrews will not stay on , that is just threw the wv rumor mill, I would say it is 50/50 but who knows.
Sent Jimbo a email a few hours ago wishing him the best. hated to see coach bowden get the heat he has taken for a few years because he is great for college fb and he made fsu what it is, the younger boosters and alum really screwed him over from all i have been told, IMO he should of been able to walk out the way he wanted , 1 year with his staff. that was a worry for fsu they have to hire Jim as the only head coach by 2011 year or faced a huge payoff, Jim was scewed over by uab trustess when they pulled a contract from under him a few years ago , they also the board look over bama and people with pull at Bama did not want him there for some reason but past is past look forward to watch fsu take back the acc top spot in a couple years like they held it from the 90's to about 2002.
Just passing on things I know from people who know all the famlies back home, I do trust what i have been told.
