Where it is real F ing COLD
At work it seems as though almost everyday that I have to "reboot" the router so that my laptop will work.. i can't get to the router until after a few hours of being there. Is there something that can help with this problem. I contacted the DSL company that provides it and they say it is my laptop that is doing it.. I never have this problem anywhere else.. Anybody know a solution?

Are you using an external wireless adapter on your laptop?

Is it the DSL router? Or your Hub/Router that your DSL router plugs into?

BleedingPurple,

I like you so I won't be too hard, and I'll try to help. What kind of router is it, and what model? That will help a lot right there. Google it and read about it.

What kind of computer are you using? Does it have spyware on it? What kind of anti-virus programs are you using? This is exactly why I use an apple.

Does your internet work if you connect it directly to your cable modem via usb or ethernet? If it does it's not your cable company's problem.

You can find a lot of this stuff online. I know Shawn from Indy is an expert on this type of stuff too. Do some reading up and it's always easy to figure out the problem. I've worked for a few companies before and at times I've had to give pointers to the IT guys.
