End of Denver game....

anyone else see the end of the DENVER game??? Very peculiar... the line for the game was never in jeopardy, but let's see.... line opened at 212 on the total, and 2 FTS with 1 minute to go gets it to 210. DEN misses an outside shot and MIA rebounds, they go down court and proceed to pass up shot after shot until finally launching a long 3 as the shot clock expires missing everything, but Lawson drops the rebound out of bounds. MIA throws it in, and COOK launches an uncontested 3 from the corner but again missing everything, in fact, it was about a foot to the right of the front of the rim. DEN gets the rebound and Lawson dribbles down to about 5 left on the shot clock, drives the lane but passes on shooting the layup and kicks it clear across the court for a 3 pointer instead. It's missed, MIAMI rebounds and dribbles up court and runs out the clock.... Ironically, the game ends right on 210 and DEN covers the 2H as they were favored by 1, and led at the half by 16..... hmmmmm

I'm starting to think like Dr Ray.... :D

Well, I had O210.5 for the game so got screwed as well.
At least the 2H over cashed fairly easily.

BTW, what's your updated YTD mate?
You have impressive results on the days I check up on your threads.

I knew my record had gone in the toilet... was +60 some units the week before Thanksgiving, and then BLACK FRIDAY lasted two weeks! :sadwave: I was afraid to go back and check my record, and was waiting for someone to ask... but it's updated now, accurate, just not impressive I'm sorry to say. BUT, last year in NBA HT, I made 70 Units in like 2 months so I'll turn it around. There's been a lot of .5 / 1 point losses lately, and I mean ALOT! So many games come down to the wire, and lately, the wire has SNAPPED! (well, snapped me off!)

Thanks anyhow... hopefully you find me on the good nights! :SIB

Rander.......We all know the script on certain games.
TV games specially. If we only knew the side to bet on day after day.

These players who make MILLIONS per year, are not throwing up bad shots to make a game over or under. A ref being on the take, fine, I can understand that. But to think there is some conspiracy/script is soooo preposterous IMNSHO.

See that is where you're so so wrong. Do you think either a Denver or Miami player is going to really stop a player going for a layup under a min left with an 18 point lead ? It is one big conspiracy. Vegas is involved and the NBA. Sure it is not every game but the TV games more than not. So explain to me the movement between 209 and 211 and yet majority % of money was on the over 210.5 and 211 yet it lands on 210. So the linemakers know before the game starts that the Heat will put in the scrubs in the 4Q and they will go on a 3pt shooting spree ?
No matter how you want to look at it NO ONE WILL EVER FIGURE IT OUT. FOR IF THEY DO THEY WILL BE RICH. OH IM SORRY I MEANT THE PUBLIC BECAUSE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS REFS, NBA AND VEGAS ALL KNOW THE DEAL. So you dont think players and refs have access to halftime lines ? But they did have access to TWITTER right ?

Yeah, the players and the NBA are in cahoots with Vegas and none of the model citizens in the league have slipped the story. :142smilie That seems very likely. IF what you are saying has ANY truth to it, this would get leaked in no time flat. Until that happens, to me, this is completely crazy talk. The NBA is a billion dollar industry. They aren't going to risk that by entrusting the upstanding citizens that make up the players in this league.

Yeah, sorry NBA conspiracy theorists. I can't see how the players can be involved in this.

The refs have some influence for sure in deciding aspects of the game but it's no where near total control. Can we just not hand it to the linemakers? It's hardly a stretch to imagine them coming with sharp lines is there?

Moreover, it's more likely that players in the NBA would have trouble mentally adding up the score while running up and down the court to figure out what the total is currently at.:mj07:

Ohio but not a Buckeye
Players don't fix games, refs do.

The $ involved just doesn't make sense for Vegas. The amount of $ they'd have to pay a player for the risk, on top of recovering all that money doesn't add up. One player cannot effect the over/under...especially a SCRUB.
