TV Question (random change)

About 5 months ago I bought a 47 inch vizio television and in the past few weeks randomly I will be watching a station and then it will change.

Today it has happened like 3 times. I was watching the football game in HD on Fox on 32-1 and wasn't watching anything on 5-1 but it just changes to the channel.

I took the batteries out and left it and 5 minutes later it went from 32-1 to 5-1.

Anyone had anything similar happen or suggestions would be great?

do you have a premium cable box...or a basic cable box?...

comcast in my area just sent everyone "complimentary" small boxes for the digital conversion.....used to be able to get basic stations on cable ready tv`s without any boxes if you wired your own house.....now you need a little one to get those channels....

i noticed on the little boxes that they sometimes change channels on their own,then it switches back......not the big premium boxes...

is that your situation,frank?...

That does explain a lot actually. This particular tv in the house doesn't have a box on it the HD's are just the local's and through the coaxial cable..

Well that seems to be an easy problem to solve just gotta get another box

we have autotune with DirectTV and my wife selects stuff and then I wam watching it and
it changes . :shrug:

Nah. In the original post I said that I had it just sitting next to me and it changed then I took the batteries out of it and it changed again.
