besides the questionable play calling,tcu's inability to run the ball is very surprising considering the weight difference between the lines....
More surprising is that they have not run the ball in the 4th quarter.... Every play has been a pass (as far as I can remember - it has been at least 10 straight or so)
They are clearly scared - and the coach (as many do) has overreacted and been throwing every down in the 4th....
You gotta have some balance - and they've had plenty of time to mix in some runs....

it's not that they couldnt run.....they DIDNT run.
when they ran from the shotgun spread they got 4-6 yards a pop....problem is, they called that play only about 8 times tonight and i dont think they ran the ball once in the 4th....heck, they got a punt return to the boise 31 with 5 mins left and went inc-sack-complete for 5-inc.......where was a run????

That is exactly what I was saying... they got the ball early in the 4th on their own 20... game tied at 10-10.... they went PASS, PASS, PASS - 3 and out.....
Like I said, I think the coach fell into the trap all inexperienced coaches do... he got scared and tried to pass every play....... good coaches don't do that - there was plenty of time.... even when they got it back on the punt return......
