The hit that he took didn't look like much... yet he walks off saying his shoulder hurts.....

Xrays are negative - its a "strain" supposedly

His dad and Mac Brown wouldn't let him come back in (supposedly McCoy wanted to play) - citing his "NFL future".....

2 questions:

1. What type of NFL future does he have - given how brittle he appears?

2. More importantly, how do you think his teammates feel - the biggest game of their life (most of them WON'T go to the NFL) - and he gets a relatively minor hit and doesn't play - and Mac Brown hasn't recruited a QB that is fit to play at all in the situation?

If I was his teammate, I'd say "F**CK you NFL career - this is all I got - get yer a** in the game.......

I understand he has a NFL future - likely the 1st QB picked...

But he ALSO has a big insurance policy if he gets hurt..... So he is set for life either way at this point....

Why wouldn't he be a team player and play (assuming he could - which given that he supposedly wanted to go back in, I assume he can)...

His teammates gotta be pissed ... I'll bet some of them are talking on the sidelines about the Prima Donna not be willing to play with pain in the biggest game of their career....

A lot of big talk in this thread. Did no one see the Salters-McCoy interview after the game?

Did no one read the article about him taking two practice throws in the locker room? Apparently, he couldn't throw the ball 7 yards. Did no one read the part about him "begging" to get back in the game to give it a shot?

After all the games and hits he's gone thru, do you really think he raised the white flag? I have no reason to think he was so shallow to fabricate his words that he'd "give everything" to be out there w/ his teammates.

I think you're way off here. The guy couldn't throw. It's an INJURY. He couldn't operate at 5%, much less 95%. Gimme a f'in break.

Chucky the goat, as rediculously stupid your name is, I have to 100% agree with your post! However, If you had a major wager on the game and never played at that level it would be a normal reaction to vent after your money-maker went down! P.S.--I was busting your goat balls, think the name is great.

I had the same response during the game. Injury didn't look like much and with his dad in the locker room and the announcers....

Everything pointed to being a horrible teammate and protecting an NFL career when you've got the title on the line.

After hearing he couldn't throw the ball 7 yards, I realized I was wrong. But it still irritates me how announcers and others think its ok to not play even if you can b/c of the money waiting at the next level.

The injury was a brachial plexus stretch. I have had this happen to me 3 times. It makes your arm feel like it is "asleep". Sometimes it lasts for a few hours, sometimes a few days. If it indeed was a brachial plexus injury, he couldn't have thown a penny into a wishing well.

I woke up last night around 4:00 am with dead from sleeping on it wrong.
The first thought was no way could I throw a football. :142smilie
I wanted to see how long the pain in my arm lasted.
I fell back asleep within minutes.
I did however wake up again about an hour later and my arm was not dead but it I was still feeling it.
Of course I was stretching it out having trainers work on it but it was still bothering me an hour later.

So I can see how McCoy was bouncing passes in the locker room.

hate to say it but colt pussed out..:violin:

...............................................................

I guess Colt was protecting his NFL career.

But to go in the first round or early second he needed to win the National Championship.

Hard to say if he pussed out, but I am glad he did.

ROLLTIDE !
